We stayed for 2 nights on a short trip in July. Hotel is situated in middle of Old Port. Lots of great restaurants and attractions around. Friendly hotel staff with lots of great restaurant recommendations. The rooms are quite spacious, however i felt they were a bit cold and not very warm and homy like. it would be great if... More

Nestled in the heart of Old Montreal, we visited in March of 2013. We found this hotel quaint, nice rooms, friendly staff, and the coffee bar was a wonderful place to relax. In fact, my Tripadvisor profile picture was taken there 😉

We drove up from Maine to join friends of ours who flew in from Florida. We wanted a hotel in the historic district, walking distance to major attractions. Booked LePetite Hotel back in the spring. Could not have been more pleased. The Hotel rooms and common areas had all been updated. Very Hip! The hotel staff could not have been... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Hotel. The rooms are modern and comfortable, The location is great, right in the heart of Old Montreal and their recommendations for things to do were spot on. The best part was at the end of our stay. I had left a knapsack I didn't want to lose in a nearby bar... More

What a happy surprise - we've stayed at hotels more expensive in Old Montreal, and this one far exceeded our expectations in every way. Reasonable price, PERFECT location, incredible staff, beautiful, sunny, comfortable room, lovely bathroom, delicious bed, and the best continental breakfast I've ever had. Please do not waste your time staying anywhere else - this is it.

I can't say enough about this wonderful, little gem. We went to Montreal for a family vacation for a two-night stay. Everything was perfect. The entire staff couldn't have been nicer, or more accommodating. The location was great for exploring, eating, etc. The breakfasts were delicious, light fare that got us off to a good start each day. I would... More

The rooms are beautifully renovated in a contemporary style that I happen to prefer. Perfect location around the corner from the Basilique de Notre Dame. I so enjoyed speaking with each staff person. They were helpful, gracious and fun. The staff made our trip special because they helped us find exactly what we wanted, day and night. The breakfast was... More

The hotel is right in the heart of the historic district, and if you're lucky you'll get a view over the cute street of Rue St. Paul. I got an upgrade to a fantastic room with french windows over the street. No noise when they were closed. The bed was soft and comfortable, nice polished wood floors and modern amenities,... More

Great boutique hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. The location is good. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is basic, but good enough (bagels, croissants, yogurt, fruit, etc., plus you can order specialty coffee - espresso/cappuccino - from the desk and they bring it to you). I would stay here again.

I stayed at Le Petit Hotel for 4 nights in the middle of August. We stayed in a small room, which was fine because it was only 2 people for a few nights. Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
