Hello fellow travellers,
What can I say about Les Studio Hotel, that will be of use to you...well first off...It's not really a hotel...it's a University of Montreal residence. This has it's advantages and disadvantages though...mostly it's a good think, if you want to be close to Metro transit (subway/buses). The price is really affordable too! If you're looking for...

This is a University dorm converted into summer accommodation for guests. But for $50 I got clean accommodation, shared bathroom, free parking and free breakfast included in that price.
Inside the room is spartan e.g. no TV, hard floors etc, but for two nights it was fine.
I had a little trouble bringing my bags up the steps to the...

To sum it up In two words I would describe this place as "false advertisement" for a start the pictures are completely different to what you actually get! It is NOT a hotel!!! It is university dorms (which by the way being a student myself I would not have paid to stay in these dorms) they advertise a pool??? There...

Negative things: I stayed here during July, when the temperatures were reaching above 30 in the middle of the day. My room was uncomfortably hot most of the time, even during the night when the temperature dropped the room stayed hot if the wind wasn't blowing in the right direction. The shared bathrooms were clean, but also extremely hot with...

This is a university dorm converted to a hotel. The rooms are NOT spacious at all. Completely stuffy with only a small window. They do provide a fan, though. The staff, however, is very courteous and helpful. The room I had reserved didn't have an attached toilet/bath. There was a shared one for the entire floor (about 10-12 rooms, making...

A roof over our heads was what we basically needed and what we got. This is a DORMITORY. No air conditioning. Shared bathrooms. Also, they try to rip you off 12$/day for parking (30$ per week) but we asked a local where we could find free street parking, and it was actually right in front of the building where we...

If you need to be in Montreal - and don't have a lot of money to spend then consider this place. It is 30m by two subways and a short walk from Downtown, and the closest subway line stops at midnight. They may put you in one of at least two buildings - one of which on the side of...

I was attending a conference this weekend and stayed at Les Studios Hotel, which is what the Université de Montréal calls their student residences during the summer when they rent them out as cheap hotel rooms. I live in a suburb of Montreal, but figured since it was included with the conference I'd take advantage and stay downtown for the...

Room adequate for 1 person. Not as good as photos would suggest.
Shared toilet and shower. Adequate but only because there were not many people staying there. Separate toilets for men and women by the way.
Biggest problem from my point of view was the lack of tableware and cutlery to use in the room. Even on request none available!...
