You can definitely tell that this is a privately owned hotel, but is has it quirks. One the good side: Has a mom & pop feeling with alot of charisma. The bad: Old !!! Lacking upkeep....if your a type of person that just likes trying new things, then give this hotel a shot...If you looking for a chain style / modernized,... More

I wanted to like this hotel, but I just couldn't. First, the good: quirky design, there was a fridge, microwave, and cutlery, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great And now, the bad... First of all, the website says that parking is available, but this hotel does *not* have parking (as I found out when I arrived in... More

We decamped from the coach at the cenral bus station in down town Montreal. It was a 15 minute walk with our luggae from there to the Hotel Celebrities on St.Denis. Quirky place..... with the finish of a DIY madman who had bought a job lot of old timber and hammered it into place until it fitted. We enjoyed the... More

Some of the previous reviews say that this hotel may be for somebody, but not for everybody. Well, you'd better not be that somebody. Let's go step by step. GOOD THINGS -the location. The hotel is at walking distance from Vieux Montreal, Sant Catherine Street and downtown. However, the hotel is in front of a hospital, and going around at... More

Nice cheap hotel in Montreal. Great location being only minutes walk to Old Montreal or the newer shopping and business precinct. Just up the road on St Denis street are dozens of great little restaurants and bars. Quirky little hotel with unusual rooms. A bit rough around the edges, but to be expected for the low rate. Rooms were clean,... More

Upon arrival, your expectations are dashed (situated opposite a hospital isn't the worst but still doesn't do much for the mood). After stepping inside, your qualms are hushed. The hotel is in a good location, 10min to walk to 2 metro stations & less than 20min walk complex desjardin & place des arts. The room was big (a little odd... More

We saw pictures of this hotel on Expedia and thought it was lovely and the price was reasonable. It was however not cheap. The reception was dark with low ceilings and old newpapers and cluttered. We asked to see the room and it was awful. One room had a shared bathroom and it furniture had been painted with flat látex... More

I had a terrible experience with this hotel. Don't be deceived by the photo-shopped pics on their webpage. First, it sits right opposite a busy hospital and between two construction sites. Very noisy. The rooms are dark and smell of must. Second, the guy at the front desk deliberately over-charged me (I paid the Taxes twice) and then refused to... More
