The decoration is distinct and the basement is huge, the tub is great but the room has a gloomy hue, the breakfast is good and the staff is very kind but the host seems a little serious, the room is convenient to metro.

Room decoration is very special, clean and comfortable. My girlfriend and I love its classical decoration style. This is our first time traveling in Montreal. This B&B hotel is very impressed. It brought us not only convenience, but also a cultural exhibition. It's very worthwhile to live this stylized hotel within 120c$. The owners girls kind, welcome and very hospitality.She... More

Our hostess was sleeping on our bed as we walked into the room. They walked into the room despite the "do not disturb" sign and a verbal request not to go in. The sheets were not changed, there was hair on the pillows and not a hint of detergent smell. Communication with the owner failed, she doesn't care. It's frustrating... More

I have just returned from my fifth stay in Montreal at the Jade Blue...once again I can only describe my visit as a "wonderful"...perhaps I have blinders on because of the way that the staff treats me like I am family? The owner Linda remembers me each time I call and Bettina the hostess welcomes me like family and accommodates... More

Room very nice, clean and confortable; owners girls kind, welcome and lovely. Location Near st. Laurence area and hotel the ville, in the centre city, easy to arrive from airport with bus(the stop is far only 200 mt); but pay attention when exit because streets around the b&b are very 'popular'...

Upon my arrival I was instantaneously asked by several different males to engage in what they called an "adult sleepover" only with, and I am assuming, needles and uppers. When it came bedtime, I wasn't entertained by the 1970's 10 inch tube tv, or even the non-air conditioned room that I was lied to about. I fell asleep to the... More

We recently spent a 3 day weekend visiting Montreal and came across the Jade Blue. We were impressed by many of the reviews but also skeptical because of a few of the others. I guess you have to put on your blinders on when driving/walking the 100 yards onto or off of Rue Bullion. Yes the location is a bit... More

My wife and I stayed at this B&B in early October and we will definitely be back soon. It is so wonderful when you are passing through a city and you get the opportunity to make friends with the staff at the place where you are staying. Allie helped us with everything from parking to accommodating my wife's dietary restrictions.... More

Our stay was July 25-28, 2013. We chose this b&b because we needed late check in and got a code. The outside stairs were hard to climb up as they were steep. Battina was helpful but one morning was sick so no one around to give breakfast. The owner was in Florida and I called the number written on board... More

We travelled to Montreal for the Summer Jazz Festival and decided to stay at a B & B downtown. The Jade Blue was a pleasant surprise with a fabulous location, comfortable accommodations and lovely staff whom were super attentive to our needs. The rooms are themed and we stayed in the Louis XIV. Lovely antique furniture and embellishments from the... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
