Gilles is a most gracious host at Le Gite Dézèry. The rooms are all beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are outstanding and posh! Breakfasts are varied and delicious. It was such a treat to stay at this B&B. Gilles gave some good recommendations for restaurants and anything else we cared to do. All in all it was... More

Rooms were comfortable, well decorated and contained everything we needed. Bathroom had all amenities. Breakfasts were delicious and varied. Our hosts were helpful and very friendly. The B&B was only three blocks from the subway making it easy to get around Montreal. Enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return!

French B&B totally redone. In a great neighborhood. Very welcoming and comfortable. Close to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. Our host was very helpful. Our room was lovely with a comfortable bed, nicely appointed bathroom with a huge soaker tub, and a small balcony. We enjoyed wine in the living area adjacent to the dining area where we had a... We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Montreal. Gilles was an excellent and helpful host. We were fortunate to find a parking space right outside the B&B but there were other spaces down the street. Each side is subject to a parking restriction for one hour in the week. We were able to leave our car in the street... More

Le Gite Dezery provided a welcome home base to see a different side of Montreal. Spent the weekend at a hotel downtown and did the obligatory "Vieux Montreal" touristing. Then moved out to the Plateau neighbourhood, to experience Montrealers' daily life. Sitting out on the private balcony to enjoy the evening, listening to neighbours strolling and birds singing. Comfortable room... More

What a great find! Le Gite Dezery is a quiet, clean, modern B&B. The beds were very comfortable and I loved my soaker tub! Breakfasts both days were delicious; Gilles is a skilled chef. The area, Angus Shops, was once a huge railcar manufacturing hub for Canadian Pacific and you can still see some of that history. It's also very... More

We stayed 2 nights at Le Gite Dezery and enjoyed our stay. Gilles was very helpful in getting us settled in and making sure we had all the information we needed for our tour of Montreal. The breakfast that he cooked were delicious. The bed was very comfortable and the neighborhood was very quiet. My main complaint would be the... More

We regularly visit Montreal and found the B&B, Le Gite Dezery by chance. Upon reading Trip Advisor reviews, we knew this B&B in east part of Montreal was a good consideration. We enjoy international flavor when traveling. Dezery is off of Rue Sherbrooke not far from Metro and easy to get around the city via car or metro. Breakfasts are... More

Was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and charm for this B&B. Gilles is the ultimate host as he helped us "rookie" visitors to Canada find restaurants and places to visit. Breakfasts were healthy and plentiful. Rooms had own balcony and were very comfortable. He made sure we had ice for our evening happy hours! Definitely consider this option for location... More

Gill was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Showed us around, made us feel at home right away. Breakfast was delicious and served with tea, coffee, and apple cider, YUM! The location is in a quieter part of the city. Residences surround it so you dont have much street noise. It is a very cute street! We had a little balcony... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighborhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
