I reserved a HIP style room. great modern look : black concrete walls, clean white amenities, wonderfully open washroom. Lots of nature light from windows, and they opened and closed well , sealed well too closed, to block out much noise from the street. We were there for a vacation, and were not looking for a replacement home while away,... More

Stayed here for a night with my wife. The room was perfect had everything we needed. It wasn't huge but we didn't really spend a lot of time in the room anyways. The room was well maintained and the bed was super comfy and clean. The location was great just a short walk from almost anything, especially Old Montreal. Had... More

I stayed there a couple of times for business. On one occasion my wife came along, using the business trip as a mini vacation in Montreal. Staying at this hotel for a business trip, I may give 4 stars but as a couple, I would say 3.5. Breakfast used to be included but it's no longer the case if you... More

The location is close to the subway, staff were friendly and the room was fantastic! I don't think there's much more to say than that! I would stay here again and I would recommend this property to others!

Stayed for almost a week and enjoyed both hotel facilities and location, which was close enough to walk to the conference center. Room was big enough for one and very comfort. Will be glad to return there next time I'm In Montreal.

We stayed in July in a Loft room. The room had many windows and overlooked Chinatown. One could also see downtown lights in the evening. There was a small living room with a great view. There was also a small table with chairs. Bed was comfortable and great curtains that did not let in the morning light. My only complaint... More

We chose this hotel as we needed to be close to UQAM for a conference, and a good rate was offered. There were many pluses, not just the proximity to great restaurants in Chinatown, and a grocery store and SAQ for wine within a 10 minute walk? A few days before arrival, an email from the hotel invited us to... More

To start, I did tell the front desk everything here and they replied 'so sorry to hear that.' The hotel is decorated in a modern style that catches the eye. They have a few spots on St-Laurent to stop your car as you check in, but there are no bell hops to help you unload luggage. Also, there is no... More

We chose Hotel Zero 1 for the style, and on that point it definitely delivered. The lobby had a cool contemporary style and I really loved the layout and furnishing in the room. We booked a Standard room, I think it was a queen bed but plenty comfortable. The check in was standard, and the staff were not particularly friendly... More

Stayed here for the formula 1 weekend, so prices reflected that, but were fair. Good location, just a block from the station to get to the track, and in the heart of the city. Never needed a car! Upgraded to the studio room for a little more space, and it was well-equipped with the basics. I liked the hard flooring,... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
