Comfortable, well equipped rooms with a galley kitchen and friendly staff. Across the street from the good, cheap eats of Chinatown, above the underground city and a few blocks from the place des artes.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a good experience. Nice location, close to restaurants and attractions. Room was spacious and good fixtures. Very affordable price too. Only issue I experienced was at the Tapas Lounge during breakfast times. Skeletal staff (just one person), a lot of basic things were not readily available. Milk! for cereal was... More

Hotel is very well located. Right at the entrance of the Chinese quarters of Montreal. Hotei is twelve stories high and overlooks the Montreal nights-cape. The rooms are rather small, but I had 2 beds, so that might help to make the available floor space a little less remarkable. But it's a "cozy" kind of small...;). Rooms are carpet-free, the... More

Stayed here for a work trip in August 2015. The hotel is really cool and the bed is really comfy. Small but practical bathroom. My room had a really good view of Montreal and China Town. Would definitely stay here again.

Looks like a lot of other reviews covered some of the biggest essentials of this hotel. These are: - Kitchenette (microwave, sink, mini-fridge with barely useable freezer part, dishes, cutlery, and coffee pot). - Small closer right when you come in with two drawers for clothing as well. - Small-sized room (called the "pop" room), with Ikea-type furniture (more modern,... My significant other and I stayed at this hotel for three days back in April 2015 and we really had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect for those who are looking to explore all of what Montreal has to offer, especially if you’re a first time traveler without a car. It’s literally a 5 minute walk to everything, from... More

For my first time in Montreal the hotel zero one provided a perfect combination of location, price, and amenities. The room was cozy, the staff were very accommodating and all around immensely contributed to the great time I had in Montreal

On our second trip to Montreal, we stayed at this hotel. We primarily booked it because of the price during such a peak weekend. We also liked its proximity to the Old Port. On our previous trip, we had stayed much farther from the Old Port and the Amtrak station so the fact that this was >15 mins walking to... More

After reading some of the reviews of Hotel Zero 1, I wasn't sure if I had made the right choice. It turned out to be an excellent place to spend my 5 days in Montreal. The location can't be beat. The 747 bus from Trudeau airport dropped me right across the street. There are metro stations about 2 blocks in... More

It's our first time staying for three nights,, we were impressed with both our rooms. Nicely done, Comfortable beds, had a view of Chinatown. Great amenities.. The only down size is parking is not on site therefore you need to allow 30 minutes extra to have The valet bring The car over to the entrance. But The plus side is... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
