We stayed here last year for an overnight trip to Montreal. The location is very convenient - close to pretty much everything in central Montreal. The front desk was very nice and the lobby looks great. The rooms as VERY clean, simple lines and furniture but very comfortable. I loved the sitting area in our room too! (I think ours... More

The hotel was very modern and chic. It's very close to both old Montreal and downtown Montreal for other shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and a good size. My only complaint would be that the walls are very thin, and we could hear our neighbours, as well as the street noise outside. Not great for sleeping in. The... More

Travelling to Montreal has become an annual thing in my life, I always travel from October to April at some point for a weekend. Despite this hotel being right across the street from my favorite place, Chinatown, and within walking distance to pretty much everything, the service is impeccable. We stayed for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday night, and checked... More

Booked this Hotel for a Girl trip Just before the XMas Holidays. LOVED it! Great central, location. Steps to everything and has a great italian resto below. The room was small but has a great layout. I would recommend upgrading to the larger room, I could not imagine the two of us in the standard room for 3 nights climbing... More

Booked three rooms for a combined business/family visit to Montreal. Facilities were in good condition and clean - prices were reasonable for the location and quality of the rooms (which were small but comfortable). Only complaint was that because of weather related flight cancellations in Halifax - one member was unable to get in - hotel was unwilling to cancel... More

I stayed at Hotel Zero 1 for 5 nights and thought the place was great. It's in a great location across from Chinatown and close to almost everything downtown. The rooms are quite small, but still have ample space and everything you need including a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and eating utensils like plates, bowls and cutlery which is nice... More

Stayed here one Thursday night in February 2015. Cost $99 for a good size standard room on 12th floor. Minimal noises to disturb you compared to more centrally located and expensive hotels. No dining room or adjacent parking. You have to pay $25 for a "valet" to take your car to a underground lot 8 blocks away (and they need... More

We stayed for a few nights in August. The location was perfect. Walk a block in one direction you were on Sainte-Catherine St., walk across the street in the other direction you were in China Town and walk a few more blocks and your in Old Montreal. Other than the bus tour we did we walked everywhere. If your looking... More

My sister and I are currently staying in this hotel. The front desk staff are really nice, and we've been happy with the location. We aren't picky travelers, but booked this hotel and the upgraded room because it looked chic and fun for a relaxing 2-day getaway. The heat is absolutely blasting in the room, and won't turn off. The... More

Amazing service and great beds. The design is attractive and modern and the location in the heart of the spectacle district makes this the best possible choice to stay in Montreal of you like to walk and go to the best venues. Good restaurant and beds are also great. Fully recommended.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
