Great location, just steps from Mont Royal Metro station. Interesting neighbourhood to explore on foot, good variety of restaurants. Diane is a knowledgeable and welcoming host. Her home is spotless, she has a lovely garden and sweet cat. We had a pleasant stay here a few years ago and were equally satisfied this year. Thanks Diane!

I enjoy very much the beauty of the house and the company and conversation of Diane during our breakfast. Very centric and in a very quiet area of the Mont Royal plateau. Lovely decoration and great breakfast. Thank you!

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently and really had a wonderful time. The place is clean, charming, and the garden is a wonderful place to relax after a day of hoofing it around the city. Be sure to say hello to your host cat, Noe, who is a sweetheart. Here's what a traveler cares about: it's clean, in a... More

Located on a quiet, tree-lined street just off St Denis, Le Rayon Vert was a delightful place to stay for a two-night getaway to Montreal. Diane is a lovely host -- welcoming, helpful, genuinely interested in her guests and their experience of her city. Spotless rooms with charming decor -- we had the back room with a lovely view of... We stayed here for a few nights, and it is located in a very convenient location near the Mont Royal station. It is right in the plateau, and there are lots of cool restaurants, pubs and cafes around this neighbourhood. B&B is located off of Avenue Mont Royal and it is on a very peaceful street. The B&B is very... More

We stayed at Le Rayon Vert for five days and loved it. The owner, Diane, is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful - really makes you feel like a guest in her home. Even though we only had one night at La Rayon Vert, we really enjoyed our stay very much. It was our first B&B in Canada but we immediately felt like home there. For dinner we went down to the harbour side and we enjoyed our first evening in Montreal there. After a good sleep, our breakfast was delicious and we... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
