The hotel is well positioned within walking distance of most things. The underground shopping centre is a must see and very unique. Be on the alert when catching a taxi in Montreal as we were ripped twice on 2 trips. They 'forget' to turn the meter on? No reflection on the hotel.

This is a modern hotel located in the heart of Montreal. It is centrally located, putting you within walking distance of most of what there is to see in the city. The room was sparkling clean, large, and in excellent condition. However, there was no view to speak of, but being downtown it is not to be expected. The staff,... More

My wife and I stayed at the Montreal Garden Inn for a weekend visit to Montreal for site-seeing and relaxation. Using the Hilton Honors online check-in option, I was able to select a very large king room that was clean, well-maintained, and quiet. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of Montreal's historic district, art museums, and Parc du... More

I am a Hilton Honors member and stay often at their hotels. I was very disappointed in the service provided at this location. Although the rooms are a nice size and were clean, we had a problem with our air conditioner. When I called the front desk, they said they would send someone up to check it. We waited an... More

We arrived by car and tried to access the garage unsuccessfully, we were directed to park in front of the hotel and check in as we needed the room key to access the garage. Thats ok with me, a little extra security never hurt. The elevators were the same, needing the room key to ascend to the room floors. Also... More

We booked our stay at the hilton. The room was clean and comfortable , room 902. Parking available for $25/ day. Check-in was easy and staff friendly. Its in the heart of chinatown, so there are many Chinese eateries. There is a restaurant on the premises of the hotel. The ride to Quebec was easy, with use of the GPS. The... More

Well, this is one Hilton I will not go back to. I am a loyal Hilton guest but this was awful. The service at check in was rude, the room was very cold, empty and smelt awful. The breakfast was very disappointing and the parking was almost impossible. I can't believe that there is not a full Hilton in a... More

This was a very nice hotel. It was in a nice location but has no particularly nice views. The staff was friendly. The room was modern and very well equipped. The regular wifi is slow but the hilton honours wifi was decent. The in hotel bar/restaurant was very nice. Food was good and fair priced. During the week the bar... More

Stayed there for three nights with three friends during a trip to Canada for ASME Mechanical Conference at Downtown Montreal Convention Center. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, however, rooms are not very spacious. We took a room with two king-sized beds. The breakfast is very good but had to pay additionally for it. The staff is very... More

This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to all major sites. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good. The lobby area has snacks and water throughout most of the day. Overall, I recommend this hotel and Montreal is beautiful in July!

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
