I normally do not choose a B&B when I travel. I like the privacy and comfort of a hotel. The Duchess of Kent B&B has made me rethink my future accommodations to include more B&Bs. Sharyn was well prepared for us when we arrived. The room had everything that any hotel would have plus more. She provided us with the... More

Great location, walking distance to downtown and waterfront. Quiet neighborhood. Rooms comfortable and tastefully decorated. So nice to have access to a living room and full kitchen. The Innkeeper Sharyn is a fountain of knowledge about Charlottetown and P.E.I. A gem of a place for those who don't want the hotel experience.

My wife and I chose PEI for our honeymoon, and had the distinct privilege of staying at the historic Duchess of Kent Inn in Charlottetown. It was the perfect choice for us! Sharyn was an amazing host, who took the time to ensure our stay was top notch. She was very diligent to explain the history of the city, as... More

Myself, partner and daughter stayed for three days, and wished it could have been longer. The Inn was a great central location in Charlottetown from which to explore the city (everything is walkable, even with a 4 year old) and the island. Sharyn, the owner, was incredibly friendly, and willingly shared her encyclopedic knowledge of the island - places and... More

The house is beautiful, each room a unique setting, the bathrooms lovely, and the inn keeper a dream come true. The full kitchen is an added benefit during the stay. Perfect location for walking downtown, seeing plays, having breakfast or dinners out, and experiencing all the area has to offer.

located within a short walking distance of the downtown area, restaurants and waterfront. Sharyn is a lovely hostess and full of knowledge and suggestions for sites to see and restaurants to visit. This is an old inn with lots of hot water and good plumbing.. Felt very welcomed and at home I would recommend bringing your own amenities

The four of us (2 couples) shared the 3rd floor suite. Very cozy. The central location made for an easy walk to all things Charlottetown. Sharyn was great in recommending restaurants and historic sites. We loved the wool sweater factory downtown as well as all the black & red foxes that casually wondered the city streets. Have Sharyn give you... More

The charm of this elegant old building is matched by the charm and warmth of those who run it. The Duchess of Kent is within a few short blocks of the heart of Charlottetown, and my wife and I found that shopping, dining, sights, and even the boardwalk--all were within easy walking distance. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, and... More

My sister and I spent 7 nights in this unique well-loved building in the heart of old Charlottetown, only blocks away from great coffeeshops, restaurants, and many of the historical sites of Charlottetown. Sharyn and Doug went far more than the extra mile in helping us dovetail our interests with what was available to see and do in this charming... More

We spent 3 nights in this charming inn which provided easy walking access to downtown Charlottetown. Sharyn and Doug were extremely helpful and knowledgeable of PEI so we were able to explore many different areas around both the North and South Shores. Our cosy suite was relaxing and quiet and was a wonderful retreat after hours of exploring.
