The Islander offered the best of both worlds: nice, clean, comfortable modern-looking rooms with the personal touches of a B&B. We also stayed in a suite like the reviewer before and we had a nice stay. A newly renovated suite offered all we needed with a little kitchenette, a lounge with a comfy leather sofa, and a separate bedroom. The continental breakfast was the best we had in the maritimes. We found the location to be good for downtown and the waterfront. Good breakfast and yummy homemade cookies from 3:00 - 10:00 PM. Rooms have been redecorated and are extremely nice. They will be improving the exterior over the coming months. We will definitely stay again if in Charlottetown. more

My first impression of the Islander as we drove into the parking lot was "what have we gotten ourselves into", but....was I ever wrong. The rooms have been modernized with updated bathrooms (small, but still nice), the beds are great with oversized duvet covers and clean. When you first pull up to the Islander you'll think you're at any other roadside motel. Don't judge this book by its cover! The lobby is lovely and the staff friendly, attentive, and helpful.
