The Hotel on Pownal is FANTASTIC! It was my wife's idea to book us a couple nights (through Hotels.com)...and did she ever make an AWESOME choice! WONDERFUL service from Shayna, Jason, Breanne and Lynn! Shayna was COOL to book us in an AMAZING room, Jason and Breanne gave us some helpful tips, and Lynn kept the dining area nice and... More

This hotel is the reincarnation of an old motor lodge, a very stylishly done. The location is good though it seemed a bit out of the way, but in reality it was only a few short blocks away from restaurants, shops and the theaters. Our room was tiny and the air conditioner was terribly loud but it was clean and... More

Spent a night at this hotel and really enjoyed the stay. It is very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast had a good selection of food. The rooms were very clean and bright. A great location for touring the downtown area in Charlottetown and handy for the airport. Would highly recommend this hotel.

During a recent 10-night stay, I discovered what a gem this hotel is! My room was very comfortable – impeccably clean with top-quality mattresses and duvets. Because I have special dietary needs, I’d anticipated being restricted to fruit and coffee at the complimentary breakfast. However, I was delighted to be offered dairy-free / wheat-free bread and muffins, boiled eggs and... More

This hotel is very close to the downtown area and the harbor, which makes it a good central location. I had a nice stay there. The room was excellent as was the morning continental breakfast, I would definitely stay there again.

I agree with the reviews that the rooms were slightly small, but in short they were clean, not damp (as many hotels struggle with this on the coast) and the staff were very helpful. Also the decor was nice. We were there at the same tome as a Coach bus as well, however had no problem finding searing as we... More

Stayed four nights here and was very pleased with room, service, and staff. We had asked for first floor and did get a room that had two entrances. This was very convenient as the back door had a little sitting area. This also helped for convenience of getting our baggage in and out of Hotel. Breakfast was ideal, and the... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the Hotel on Pownal on this site. I am glad that you enjoyed your first floor room. The outside door certainly makes accessing the room with heavy luggage that much easier. Lynn, our Breakfast Attendant, is certainly one of a kind. She is a natural at making our guest feel welcomed and... More

We stayed two nights over a weekend here in September. The staff were very helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable. However, our room was quite small (No 135) with a single double bed and the view from the window was very poor. We looked out onto a semi derelict rear garden of properties approx. 30 feet away. In fact... More

The hotel is on a quiet street in a safe neighborhood, yet only a few blocks from restaurants, nightlife, theaters and the historic district. (We had rooms on the second floor for extra quiet.) The hotel is atractive and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and had plenty of space. During our two night stay, a variety of desk staff... More
