This February was our first stay at The Shipwright Inn On our arrival we were made to feel welcome and our cases were taken up to our suite. We were staying in The Officer's Wardroom, which is a comfortable, well appointed suite. The suite features a large sitting room with a propane fire, television and a writing desk; there is... more

I've stayed at the Shipwright whenever visiting Charlottetown since 2002 and I have probably slept in every room in this gorgeous house. My favourite remains the lovely Quarterdeck, tucked away to the left of the dining room on the main floor, with its own fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and wonderful antique furnishings. But it's hard to describe the ambience and charm... more

I stayed here for a few nights while attending a conference in Ch'town and just adored it. My room was cozy and charming, the breakfasts were decadent (bananabread french toast?!), the coffee was excellent, and the hosts went WELL beyond the 'call of duty' to make me feel welcome and relaxed. All of my colleagues were staying at the conference... more

We spend several nights each year at B&Bs, and the Shipwright is one of the best you will find. You will not find hosts any more welcoming or helpful than Judy and Trevor and their staff. In order to stay for two nights, we had to book two different rooms. Both rooms were extremely nice. The basement apartment was unusually... more

We went to see the Inn a few days later and the minute we walked in we were stunned. It was quaint and beautiful, romantic and absolutely perfect... more

In the past several years we have stayed at more than a dozen B&B's and small inns in the US, Canada and Europe. Without question, the Shipwright Inn's Officers' Wardroom was the nicest accomodation we have had. We travelled with our two daughters and were looking for a large family space. The wardroom was simply incredible, with a beautifull master... more

This place will definitely impress you, as it did for me. This was by far the best place we stayed in our Canadian East Coast vacation. The innkeepers were quite friendly and extraordinarily helpful. They know a lot about the city and are always willing to help out. The rooms were likewise spectacular. We received a room upgrade, but we... more

I researched quite a bit before booking my hotel in Charlottetown, and my mother and I were very happy with our resulting stay at the Shipwright Inn. Everybody was very, very nice and welcoming. I called the hotel directly to book our room a few months in advance, and we got the Purser's Stateroom at a great rate. The room... more

This was our second visit to the Shipwright Inn and it was just as good as the first time. The property is just lovely, with welcoming hot and cold drinks with delicious homemade cakes that you can enjoy in the parlour, while planning your stay in Charlottetown. The rooms are just exceptional. We stayed in the Chart Room this time,... more

Of the many B&B's I've experienced, this one sets the standard for others to emulate. From welcome to farewell, we noted that the staff was present and properly attentive. We especially apprecriated their recommendations for dining. Our suite was the right combination of class and comfort, from the fireplace to the spa tub. The complimentary breakfast was delicious as well.... more
