Close to down town with friendly staff and great food. My husband and I stayed there on a tragalgar tour and were there 2 nights. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had 2 delicious breakfasts and one evening meal there. All good. We had purchased some items that we had left behind in the room and when we contacted them... More

This hotel was built as one of the country's flagship CN hotels before WW2. Royal have stayed here. There is an excellent rooftop patio. The hotel is extremely kitschy and the bathroom resembles the same one I have in my 1930s era apartment. The bathroom is clean but certainly stained from use. Rooms are a good size but don't expect... More

King Geoge Vl, Queen Elizabeth II, and even Mr. Dressup have stayed at the Rodd. However, they probably did not have the standard room we did. We stayed 2 nights at the Rodd, a 1930's CN heritage hotel, while seeing the sights of PEI. Our room reflected the age in which the hotel was built. The grout around the tub's... More

We stayed 8 days I the hotel and had a great time. While there is a little wear and tear as you might expect in a historic hotel it was extremely comfortable. The beds were great and the solid walls meant no external noise. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the city by foot. The staff were extremely helpful... More

The hotel is centrally located and in walking distance to many restaurants. Since it is an older hotel our room was small and the bathroom is small as well. The room was clean and well-stocked. The staff was very helpful, making a dinner reservation for us and attending to a slow-draining sink. We were traveling with a group so our... More

Thank you for your comments and I appreciate you comments about the staff. I may be a little bias but I think they are the best in town. I am so lucky to have many of them work here for years and take their job very seriously and professionally or they wouldn't have stayed working here. Thank you very much... More

I stayed at the Rodd for 3 nights at the end of September for a conference. It was a lovely property-- the rooms were a bit small, but clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Charlottetown. It also has the benefit of being downtown and within... More

Stayed one night in the Summer, its a lovey old hotel, if you are into modern don't go! It reminded me ( the rooms) of the Royal York in Toronto. The town is right there and is beautiful and lots of little restaurants to go to!

We enjoyed our stay at "The Charlottetown" and would recommend it for anyone travelling with pets who wants to stay right downtown. It's a VERY convenient location and the staff were all very helpful. I'll be back!

We stayed here for three nights while in PEI. Location was excellent. Conveniently located close to shops, restaurants, and waterfront. Room was old and small but those add characters. Dirty bathtub was uncalled for. Why won't they scrub it down when it's visibly stained with usage? Soap stains and streaks were all over the tub. I almost wanted to clean... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am bothered with your response regarding our front desk staff who get rave reviews and when something like this happens I like to address it and let all staff know how important it is to not only be concerned about how our guest enjoyed their stay but to show... Stayed one night, had hoped to stay longer but, this hotel (?) is awful! Dirty, dingey, and dull! Carpets in great need of replacement. Need more lighting in room and hallways. Mold on bathtub, tiny sink no place to set things. Staff not very cordial or helpful...no one to help with luggage and no cart for luggage...everything had to be... More
