I stayed here with my husband and our 8 year old daughter for 3 nights. Charlottetown is a beautiful city with courteous and nice people minus the staff in Rodd hotel. They are rude and unhelpful. Parking is VERY limited. If you are here late at night there is no spots. Rooms smell of humidity. Walls are very thin and... More

Room is VERY small and dated. This place is far from sound proof. Bathrooms need a serious overhaul. Non-existant view. Booked with booking.com a week prior, upon arrival the hotel had no reservation. I did secure a room and was very surprised to learn after my return home that they had charged a hundred dollars damage deposit to my credit... More

Upon check-in, it turned out my booking had been cancelled by the hotel as we had two family bookings under the same family name. Apparently they though we'd double booked and cancelled a room. Not very professional. However the guy at check in sorted it for me after we showed them the confirmation number (not sure what would have happened... More

We went to see Anne of Green Gables and the Rodd was ideally located. Free parkng, free wifi. You could walk to many of the sites and to the theatre. When we arrived, they gave us a $15 credit for use at the restaurant - we used it to help with thr breakfast cheque; it was a great full-breakfast meal... More

If you want a retro experience in the old part of Charlottetown, consider the Rodd. Rooms are small but the beds are 1st rate and the A/C is very quiet. Something you often don't get in a much newer place. The price was well below what other places were charging during the high season. Location is excellent. Quiet street across... More

I came back to the Rodd this year after some unfortunate issues last year, and was happy to see that service has improved and I had no issues. The hotel is old and the furnishings reflect this..... so don't expect a modern touch, this is not the hotel for you...but if you want some history then come for sure. The... More

Outside of the hotel looks very grand, but you'll be disappointed once you get to the room. Room is small, dated and dirty. Especially the bathroom tiles you can easily see the dirt on it. Towel looks dirty and is rough as sand paper. Bathroom is very small hardly has space to turn around. Will never ever return.

Good Breakfast, helpful staff, Building is nice. Rooms are average, however the wallpaper/decor was past its prime. Lots of dust in the room we stayed in. No fan in the washroom, made the room somewhat damp.

Slept in a very hot room, told that no other rooms were available and the next morning we were told at the front desk that the entire hotel lost its air conditioning. I highly doubt that based on no others complaining at the front desk. There was no parking at the hotel when we came in for the evening and... More

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. We knew that it was a historic hotel. It was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. We got a travelzoo deal and paid $105 per night. It was great- kids ate free, the location was excellent. Parking was free. Beds were extremely comfortable.
