This hotel was delightfully charming and a very well kept property, built in the 1930s. It keeps its older world charm stunningly in the rooms, lobby and hotel dining room. The room we stayed in was a bit small given the vintage of the hotel - but the bed was even better than our own. It was a lovely 3... More

My husband planned our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations & reserved a suite at the Rodd Charlottetown. I had been to meetings here before but had never stayed overnight. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating, the suite fantastic, huge washroom with a king size comfortable bed. Next door was a door to the outside deck where we could view the... More

If it's good enough for her majesty the queen it's good enough for me. Perfect location with excellent staff. Breakfast very good and the restaurant was perfect. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Would not hesitate to recommend this charming hotel. If you visit make sure you visit the patio on the fifth floor.

I recently stayed at the Rodd. Although conveniently located, and quaint in its decor, some attention to detail is really being missed. The front steps were never really clean – with small pieces of garbage, the windows didn’t have any screens on them, and although you’re able to open them to air out the rooms, I couldn’t leave it open... A hotel with charming staff, situated conveniently downtown; however, in desperate need of a major renovation. Common areas and rooms are tired and there is the funky smell of 'old and tired'. In a King Suite on the 5th floor, the sofa was threadbare and hollow, carpets were stained and old - bathroom needs major updates. Sleep quality was poor,... More

It may be odd to start a review raving about the bed...but if you're like me, you appreciate a FULL night's sleep when travelling. After working a long day at a business conference, I have to say stepping back into my room each night at The Rodd was like heaven because of that bed! The best way to describe the... More

Location is an easy walk to downtown. Staff were extremely friendly and delivered exceptional service. Character of the hotel was great - old granduer like other Railway built hotels - beautiful lobby, dining areas and ballrooms. *Walk up and down the residential streets along the waterfront to feel the history and enjoy the character of the old homes - placards... The hotel is old and it seems charming at first until you try to do anything. The room is smaller than any I've ever seen even in downtown New York or Toronto. There's nowhere to open your suitcase. The bathroom is old and tiny with no counter space so if you're trying to do your hair or makeup you essentially... More

First let me compliment the staff. Every staff person was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great! I have a restricted diet - not a problem for them to accommodate me at all! Food was quite good! The room was very nice too! Bathroom is small but you can make it work. Good central location too. I'd stay there again!

Quaint hotel, very 'colonial' in atmosphere and setting. Taps drip, drip, drip, throughout the night. The lift was going all night and echoed into the room - night staff and front desk staff very excellent and friendly - breakfast staff .....below average in customer service.
