The trip began badly, with a reservation problem involving double charges and incorrect dates. It took literally 80 minutes over the next three days to sort out. The room was grubby, fusty, and furnished with low-end, chipped furniture. Cheap toiletries in very basic, unattractive bathroom. No restaurant - breakfast in an overcrowded temporary room (pretty grim). Incredibly poor value even... more

I would like to take this opportunity to respond to this customer's unhappy experience at our hotel. September is still a busy month in PEI and our room rates not only compare favourably with many other establishments but they are very competetive as well. We have commenced a serious renovation project with special emphasis on the guest roomsand we are...

I guess when you come into town with no reservations anywhere and find no room at any affordable inns, you're sort of stuck. But this place, which wasn't cheap by any means, was beyond horrible. The room itself wasn't all that bad if you ignored the horrible musty smell. But the corridors were disgusting, with stained carpeting that looked as... more

Good clean accommodations and very helpful staff. It was great to be so close to Province House, and other downtown locations. more

We stayed 6 nights in the family suite with the bunk beds and all I can say was that it was fantastic. We got there late in the afternoon and they were still prepping the room but it had been appointed with kids toys for the pool/beach, it was clean and huge. If I had to criticize anything, the air... more

Worst room for the most expensive price I've ever paid. I wanted to believe the owner's review, when he said he had renovated, but the room was awful--stained carpets (not just a few), improperly functioning air conditioner, musty smell. The soap was left from the previous occupant and there was a dozen hairs all in the bed. I asked to... more

I would like to thank this guest for the constructive feedback about their stay at our hotel. We have just recently undergone a $ 1 Million renovation to upgrade our guest rooms in the Main Building of the hotel, including new carpeting, new wallcoverings, bedding and bathrooms. It is our intention to proceed with the further upgrading of the hotel...

Dear Best Western- Charlottetown, PEI We just want to commend you and your friendly staff at the front desk, they were very helpful with any of our requests and very friendly. We had a King size bed and a large room, which was good as we stayed for 7 nights. We did however miss a restaurant for a quick lunch,... more

We booked about 4 months prior,Room with 2 double beds-confirmed. Checked in given a room in the dungeon(basement) with one double bed and a sette. I went back up to reception and queried the room and was told we had been upgraded (d0own to the dungeon?) and that the settee was a fold out. Yeh that would be real comfortable.... more

Room assigned appeared that the former occupants had not left. We were expected to go back across the street to get keys for new room. Keys for new room did not work. First a.m., there was not enough food for everyone for the free breakfast - server seemed very flustered. more

I have reviewed the guest comments on her stay at our hotel. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that she experienced on check in and I will review with our Front Desk Associates in detail. We have recently switched over to a complete Free Continental Breakfast which is displayed according to Best Western standards and contains all Breakfast items as...

I don't know how the recent reviewers liked this place at all. I checked in and the front desk girl had hickeys all over neck... ok, whatever. They recently renovated the rooms, but I dont know if I got the same room as the other posters or what. My bed was old and the pillows were terrible. You would need... more

I thank the guest for his comments. The Best Western Charlottetown is currently undergoing a multi million dollar renovation. Guest rooms are receiving new bathroom interiors with granite countertops and new tiling. New carpeting, bedding and furniture has been installed. We are looking forward to further reovation activities in the fall and early 2010. I hope that we will have...

I just came back from a short trip to PEI, and stayed at the Best Western. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and our room was excellent. A nice king bed, really comfy, and very nicly decorated. Had a fridge and microwave, which was really convienient. I really liked this hotel, and would not hesitate to recommend! Thanks more
