This was my first visit to PEI and my first stay in a Bed & Breakfast. I was overall impressed by the experience. My room was large and very clean, the only down side was that there was a large stain on the carpet and the shower did not drain very well. The breakfast was excellent and the common areas... More

I stayed in the Inn while travelling about Canada, Prince Edward Island is beautiful and was overjoyed at the idea of staying somewhere downtown Charlottetown. The Sonata is very close to the water, walkways, restaurants and many other attractions. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, pleasant atmosphere kept me there. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet, comfortable affordable... More

We booked the Sonata Inn because the Great George was full and the Sonata claimed to be one of the best places to stay in Charlottetown. The rooms are out of date. The bathrooms appear to have last been renovated in the 1960's. The breakfast was awful. Eggs that tasted like they were out of a box, and a paper... More

We stayed at the Sonata Inn and were very pleased with our stay. We were given a personal tour of the historic old house when we got there. Our room was beautiful with great beds and lovely sheets. The breakfast the next day was made to order and delicious. This place is very close to downtown.

My daughter and I enjoyed this charming character inn. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and waited for our late arrival. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was tastefully presented and delicious. Free parking and close to restaurants, attractions and shopping.

Clean and practical place - but boring for ambience in an otherwise exciting little city. Breakfast was fine and the staff were friendly. But a "do not disturb" sign didn't stop an early-morning cleaner waking us from a sleep-in (sigh). Can't give a bad review nor a good one.

My husband and I recently completed a 6 week trip throughout the Maritimes. We stayed at one hotel, four inns and nine B & B’s in the Maritimes so we had lots of opportunity to compare various places. Our stay at the Sonata Inn late July wasn’t quite what we had hoped for. It appears from reading the most recent... More

We stayed here 5 days and enjoyed it very much. The room was large, comfortable clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good - alternating choices of French toast, waffles, pancakes, eggs benedict, omelettes in addition to fruit and the other stuff. 24hr coffee/tea kitchen. The location is super - on a quaint street downtown within walking distance of all... More

We had no idea how fantastic Charlottetown would be. There's plenty to do, and staying at the Sonata Inn had just topped it off for us. The rooms were clean and spacious. A family of four fit perfectly in the room. The breakfast was perfect as well.
