The Sonata Inn was spotlessly clean and in a great location with a short walk into town. The bed was the best bed I've EVER slept in with beautiful sheets. Free tea and coffee and $1soft drinks are available 24/7. Breakfast was good too. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The location is only a couple blocks from the main street (Queen). We had the suite and it was huge and very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, large living room, would stay at again for sure. Price was less then most other places and you get a lot more...

My husband & I stayed at the Sonata Inn for 5 nights & found it great. The room was large & comfortable, breakfasts were great, service excellent. So nice to be able to walk to the downtown area for sight-seeing & restaurants. Our only complaint was the temperature of the dining room. We found it very warm. Also, to control... More

We arrived in Charlottetown later than expected and later than the Inn's usual 9pm deadline, but when we called, they arranged to have someone ready to check us in. She was friendly, cheery, and helpful. It was a nice welcome to PEI after a long day driving. Other staff were also very nice the next 2 days. Overall, the Inn... More

Stayed 2 nights in July. Small but very nice room. Recently redecorated - fresh paint and very clean. Good bed. Room AC available if needed. It is operated more as a small inn than B&B. Staffed by college-age young people rather than a host couple. Operated jointly with sister unit 2 doors away. Provided library/computer room with free internet and... More

This place felt more like a hotel than a B & B -- but the location was ideal and the rooms clean. We could not wait for the breakfast the next morning (early flight) so the staff prepared us "to-go" breakfasts which I thought was very accommodating. We enjoyed the fast wi-fi and the air conditioning. Not a bad stay.

Easy to find, ample parking and close to everything. It's located on a quiet street downtown Charlottetown. The room was ok, as was breakfast. One of the best things about staying at an Inn is the people you meet!

The building is older as expected, appears well maintained, clean rooms, good location. The young boy who checked us in and gave us a brief tour was uninterested, not very friendly, definitely not PEI friendly. Really disappointed breakfast time was limited to 1.5 hours, 8:00-9:30, this was on a Saturday morning. We had to be on the road reasonably early... More

We have mixed feelings about The Sonata Inn. The location was perfect, very close to Victoria Park and within walking distance of the city center. Our room was basic, but clean and spacious with a huge closet. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was a combination self-serve and made-to-order. Breakfast begins promptly at 8am, and the continental selections include items... More

It appears that PEI prices in mid-Summer have reached ridiculous level - like $293 for two people for one night. That was their best suite, I guess, but it is still a 3-story walk-up to get to the room, the top floor of an old building. The breakfast was ok but nothing special and the guests are left to discover... More
