The building is older as expected, appears well maintained, clean rooms, good location. The young boy who checked us in and gave us a brief tour was uninterested, not very friendly, definitely not PEI friendly. Really disappointed breakfast time was limited to 1.5 hours, 8:00-9:30, this was on a Saturday morning. We had to be on the road reasonably early... More

We have mixed feelings about The Sonata Inn. The location was perfect, very close to Victoria Park and within walking distance of the city center. Our room was basic, but clean and spacious with a huge closet. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was a combination self-serve and made-to-order. Breakfast begins promptly at 8am, and the continental selections include items... More

It appears that PEI prices in mid-Summer have reached ridiculous level - like $293 for two people for one night. That was their best suite, I guess, but it is still a 3-story walk-up to get to the room, the top floor of an old building. The breakfast was ok but nothing special and the guests are left to discover... More

Beautifully situated - walking distance to everything. We stayed 2-nights here as part of a 2-week trip through the Maritimes - my wife, our 19-month old daughter and myself. The entire place was extremely clean and the room was spacious. My only issue was about the breakfast format from 7:30-9:00 a.m. The problem is that in addition to the typical... More

We regret that we change our reservation from the Best Western to the Sonata Inn. I will start with the positives-the room was a nice size and the bed was firm. On the negative-there was no one to tell you about restaurants, hot water was limited, and the breakfast was just odd-our scrambled eggs were made with only egg whites.... More

This B&B has a great location. It is in a nice area and you can walk to the city center. The breakfast was good. What I did not like was that I never met the owner; that is why I like B&Bs because the owner makes it cozy and is nice to meet them and talk to them. It did... More

Our room was nice and spacious. The hosts were very welcoming and had great suggestions for places to visit and restaurants. Breakfast was good and it was fun chatting with the other guests. We took advantage of the laundry. The location is within walking distance of the town centre. We would recommend this place to anyone!

My husband and I stayed here one night in Charlottetown and found this to be a great bed and breakfasts. The hostesses were great and helpful in recommendations. The rooms were clean and spacious and the location perfect to walking to center of town....Breakfast was delightful and a joy to talk to other guests from other countries and share their... More

A wonderful gem! Several rooms, all updated and comfortable in this historic home. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Delicious breakfasts with a choice of entree each morning. The laundry facilities were a God send! :) Staff were friendly and helpful in recommending eating spots and visitor must sees. Will definitely stay again and recommend to family... More
