Stayed in the "Loft" room at this B&B, basically the top floor of the B&B - the whole top floor! A very unique room with walk in closet, glassed in shower, large sit down area in a studio suite type floor plan. The hosts are artists and their style infuses the room. The bathroom and shower are in the suite.... More

We stayed here for two nights while visiting our daughter in Toronto. Beautiful house, our room was nice, comfortable bed. Margo and Ziggy were great hosts and the breakfasts were delicious!! The resident dogs and cat were nice as well. Margo you weren't wrong about the bagel place, thanks for the recommendation!

We stayed in the self-catering suites, didn't actually self-cater beyond breakfast and tea/coffee, but were very happy to have the option. 'Suites' is perhaps putting it a little strongly; ours had a bedroom, mostly filled by a bed, a bathroom, and a shared kitchen. But it was very comfortable, with a spacious wardrobe, our neighbours didn't seem to use the... More

At our self catering home we offer a couple of different options: from the Suites like Oak Suite -1 bedroom apartment that comes with a separate bedroom, private kitchen/dining/living room and ensuite bathroom, to bedrooms such as Maple Bedroom or Magnolia Bedroom that come with bedroom + ensuite bathroom and semi private... In Toronto to visit family and friends, our nephew (who lives around the corner) recommended this B&B. When we checked in, we were amazed by our accommodations: a gorgeous room overlooking a garden, an enormous four-poster bed, antique armoire, fireplace and adjoining marble-tiled bath; by the fascinating, outgoing hosts, Margo and Ziggy, both artists -- Ziggy's lovely oils and Margo's... We stayed 8 days in Iris Room - very clean and lovely heritage property - loved how close we were to the park, subway and places to eat! Didn't know at the time this is the #1 rated B&B in Toronto for many years - friends recommended it to us - but can definitely see why. Thanks very much Margo... More

What a lovely place! We were fortunate to get a room at fairly short notice, and Margo was wonderful to deal with. Our room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped. The shared kitchen made me wish we were staying long enough to use it. We were in town for Shakespeare in High Park, a short walk away, and the beautiful... More

I stayed in the By the Park B&B recently whilst travelling solo following a work trip to the nearby area. Lovely B&B in a great location, metro is 5 mins walk, and if you like running High Park is just around the corner with loads of beautiful trails. Also nearby the trendy Roncesvalles area (about 10-15 minutes walk) which has... More

Thank you for the wonderful review! We are especially glad you did enjoyed the breakfast. We do our best to offer fresh, home cooked meal. The shared bathroom services only 2 bedroom with total occupancy of 4 guests. With the powder room on the main floor we never have any issues. Have a great summer. Hope we get to see... More

We really enjoyed staying at this unheated bed and breakfast. It was immaculate and well cared for. One feels that the owners put a lot of love and care into their property. We enjoyed having a kitchen, being close to the subway, having parking, and being close to High Park and the village.

This is our upteenth stay at thebed and breakfast and each time we are not let down. Margo and Ziggy work hard to maintain their excellent standards in both rooms and the breakfast provided. Well worth a stay at and we are sure you will not regret your going. Although we never use local transport there are plenty of options... More

We stayed in the "Self catering suites" building at 89 Indian Grove across the street from the B&B, in the second floor "oak suite" the nights of 7/6 thru 7/8. This is what American travelers might call an "efficiency" unit as it has a full and very well-equipped kitchen as well as a private bath, a living room AC unit,... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
