Our daughter booked our stay at By The Park Bed and Breakfast and we absolutely loved it. The area is one we love and are very comfortable there. The B & B is so beautful...done to perfection, and filled with original paintings that we really enjoyed. Thanks Ziggy! To our delight, Margo created a fabulous vegan breakfast and we really... Clean, comfortable, stylish, quiet, restful, affordable, two minute walk to subway, safe, great value, super nice owners, wonderful breakfasts. I could not rate this B&B highly enough. There was nothing I did not like about it! This is one of Toronto's undiscovered little gems!

We stayed at By the Park because we were visiting our son who lives in the area in an apartment. The location was perfect for us in the lovely neighbourhood across from High Park. We enjoyed the beautiful homes decorated for Christmas. The Inn itself is a lovely home with well appointed rooms, including a shared kitchenette. Margo was lovely... More

We had a great stay - 3 nights at $120/night. Room was nice. Comfortable bed, large bathroom with shower. There was a shared (with one other room) breakfast nook with stove & fridge that was nice for making tea and coffee in the mornings and storing fixings for lunches. The TCC subway (Keele station) is just around the corner to... More

A wonderful spot! Very clean and comfortable with friendly and thoughtful owners. The neighbourhood is quiet and the park is beautiful. Free parking is handy and the subway is just a minute walk. Margot and Ziggy make sure guests have everything they need to be comfortable.

Love the B&B! I always stay in their basement suites when I come to Toronto. Such a great location. Margot and Ziggy are very accommodating; had to change rooms and my luggage was moved for me!! Rooms are very clean.

We stayed in the Ivy suite in the home on Roncesvalles Avenue. It was a perfect spot to enjoy a visit with our daughter who lives in Roncy village. The home was well-equipped and beautifully maintained. The rooms of our suite more than met our needs. The bed was comfortable and parking was easily accessed and secure. Although the house... More

This was our second stay. As before, a wonderful place to stay, so clean and convenient to our needs. Margo and Ziggy are wonderful hosts. Our family live only a short walk away in Bloor village so we were able to spend as much time as possible with them.

We have been to the B@B many times. We never stay anywhere else. The rooms are lovely, clean clean clean. Hosts very helpful. It's right around the corner from the park, what a great place to walk around. The subway is across the street. Everything nice and handy to get to.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
