You don't have to be a hipster to stay at the Gladstone but it is the place to stay if you are young. We are both over 60 and really enjoyed the place. With all that was happening on the first floor of the hotel I though we would be woken up by the late night goings on but up... More

My two daughters went to Toronto to attend a concert and I chose this hotel for them to stay at during their stay. They loved it! The rooms were very different and the artsy look of the hotel as well as the overall appearance really stood out!

Stopped in for a drink after dinner. Went to the lounge side as the bar was packed and noisy. Bartender made the most delicious ginger margarita. Service was very good and we had a really enjoyable couple of hours. Didn't join the karaoke next door but it didn't bother us!

Over all just average. Food overcooked. Clean rooms. Friendly staff but didn't like the bed on the floor. Probably will never come back. Out of the loop as far as downtown. Spent $15 each way for a taxi to get down town. NO parking. Had to go down the street and find a public lot.

We won the inside out auction for a night in the tower suite. My family had never heard of the Gladstone before and made a point of going online and watching the video of the tower suite and the hotel before arriving. We hosted 8 of them (2 out of them from BC) for cocktails on Dec. 28th. There was... More

Stayed here as it was the closest hotel (20 min walk) to the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. We had room 417 and for $241.00 (taxes and parking) it was certainly not worth it. We have stayed in 4* hotels in Paris and London for somewhat less, with breakfast included! Bathroom and shower stall very cramped. Our floor did have a common... More

I could have had a horrible night sleep being my room was located directly above the Ballroom while a function was under way... but the helpful staff found me another room, free of charge! So great!!!

Went to enjoy a fun night at the bar to watch an awesome young band, Georgia Pines, (love that the Gladstone supports this). Then went out to eat and returned to enjoy Karaoke, to dance and to hang out with family and friends. Since we are from out of town it made sense to stay here and it did not... More

The Gladstone was friendly and interesting for our first visit to the bustling city of Toronto. This part of town offers endless good choices for casual drinks, nibbles, great meals and fun, late-night escapades. Art week was coming, so we got to observe the installations going into the hotel living rooms on each floor. Gladstone is just a hip and... More

Everything about our Gladstone experience was excellent - from the location, to the staff, to the room itself. Our only regret was being able to spend just one night! We will definitely return to the Gladstone Hotel

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
