Love the building, very colourful and airy and artsy and there is a sense of history that goes along with it. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, always smiling wiling to lend a hand. My friends and I had a great lunch together and we definitely plan on coming back to check dinner and local music.

We had a work gathering for a period of about a week. We stayed in the hotel, as well as made use of their meeting room facilities, restaurant, other catering. It is an art hotel. The rooms are all differently designed and decorated. The room was fairly comfortable, but the bathroom was very small and a little dark. The hallways... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gladstone over a Thursday & Friday night in early June, our first visit to Toronto. The location is perfect, just west of downtown on the tram line, in an area with loads of galleries, bars and restaurants. The character of the building has been preserved and although the room was small, it made... More

I hate most Toronto hotels. It seems my choices are either an outrageously overpriced 'historic' property, an outrageously overpriced 'luxury' property, or a mildly overpriced and bland chain hotel. But then the Gladstone came into our lives. The rooms at the Gladstone (in itself a work of art - TO's oldest continually operating hotel, built in 1889; the interior boasts... More

The hotel staff are very easy to communicate with. They quickly responded to my emails in advance of the booking, the booking was seamless online and the check in/out process was easy. Although the room that I booked was changed the morning of check in to the Star Gazer room, it met my needs. Definitely small (works for a solo... More

Stayed here on my first trip to Toronto! Absolutely loved the hotel. It's really chic and is a really great neighborhood. I'd compare it to the Chelsea/West Village of NYC. Some great bakeries, gallows and dining options. There's also a metro stop right in front of the hotel for those brave enough to ride! I tried it. But it's as... More

Cool, hip vibe. The room was clean and comfortable & parking was only 25 a night right across the street (you park yourself there is no valet service). I didn't eat at either of the resturants in the hotel because they were too expensive for my budget but they looked very nice. Only a 14 dollar cab ride to the... More

I stayed here for 3 nights for a business trip. It was one of three recommendations our customer gave us and The Gladstone was definitely the least expensive of the three. For the price, the accommodations were fantastic. Each room is decorated by an artist, so each are very different (same amenities, just a different look). My one negative on... More

We held out Global Workshop here in May. I had been dealing with the hotel since February and it couldn't have been a more pleasant experience, from booking rooms, sorting out check-ins and payments with Nettie and Hayley, to the whole events side of our three day Global Conference with Andrew, Christian and the team The entire team at the...
