We stayed at this hotel on Saturday 14th of July, 2007. We arrived at 11.30 pm with a reservation for two nights and checked out four hours later after being woken up and bitten by fleas in our beds. We contacted the reception, where we were told that we could have our money refunded the next day by the manager.... more

On Thursday, March 1st, I checked into the Downtowner Inn in Toronto, Ontario. I had made reservations online via their website, which stated I would receive a room with a double bed, a refrigerator, microwave, phone, and TV. I also requested a parking space, which would cost an additional $10 per day. As it so happened, this was the same... more

This place is to avoid at all costs. It is probably the most dirtiest hostel I've ever stayed at. 1) Rooms aren't cleaned every day, as they should be. When they do clean it is not a thorough cleaning ("Orangle Glo" does not count as a disinfectant, especially with a high volume of people in transit!). For the same price... more

As our hostel was overbooked, we had to switch to downtowners inn. the room was clean, but the beds were very instable. breakfast offered was without any service and unedible: it is just a packet of toast, butter and a glass of marmelade shared by everyone. more

This hotel can only be described as basic, it was very cheap so i suppose 'you get what you pay for', bedroom was clean, bed comfortable and the shower worked. very little natural light into room. Good location (appart from the small park which appeard to be where a few 'locals lived', best avoided after dark) close to subway station... more

The area in wich is located is full of drunk people, the room is not clean enough (you better bring sandals for the shower). But the worse of all, is that they allow some people (about 6 persons) to stay in the garden with music until 4a.m. and you can't sleep. We went to complain 4 times and they did... more

After booking this hostel for my first trip to Toronto I was a bit worried about some of the things that were said about this place. How wrong were these people!! The location is quite good, you are only a 10 minute walk from the Dundas Square. The street it was on wasn't ridden of junkies and hookers. The accomodation... more

Riped off. After seeing the place the week before, I cancelled my reservation. It is a wreck in a bad area. When I got my cc statement, they charged one night cancellation fee. The Book direct agent said that was their policy. more
