Arrived at hotel with expedia booking late at night, hotel did not have reservation in system, front desk clerk made me call expedia and then made me wait 45 minutes, then gave me the wrong room (single room instead of high end suite). When I asked for a solution they told me to cancel everything. Had to book at the... More

Very central location with clean functional rooms. Reception on arrival is uninspiring, small and slightly chaotic. The suite rooms offer self contained living with a small sitting area and kitchen . Breakfast served only in the room. Steak restaurant is part of the hotel with rather dark dingy bar. No public rooms for sitting

My boyfriend and I stayed at this location from July 5-9. This hotel is located in the Financial District. It's located in a side street/alley off of Yonge, so our GPS didn't find the hotel on our first try. We parked at a public parking lot on Church Street to save some money on parking. It was approx $20/day there,... More

The location was extremely close to the King St. platform for the Subway and right on the corner of Colborne and Yonge (main street of Toronto) so you could walk anywhere or hop on a subway easily. That's really where everything I have positive to say ends. I am not a complainer and rarely give a bad review, but I... More

I stayed at The Cosmopolitan for one night while visiting friends in Toronto on a Friday night. I had requested an early check-in and a high floor and received both upon arrival at 11 am. The employee at the front desk checked on my room first to see if it was ready. The room was spacious and clean. I could... More

Don't know why this hotel is so highly rated.  The room next to us hosted a party which didn't really get started until 3am.  Hotel staff were useless dealing with them.  The next morning the place stunk like a brewery.  Staff could not have cared less about our experience.  Won't go back and would not recommend.

We stayed here for one night June 22nd. Although the service was very good and the location is great, the condition of the rooms were very poor for a "4 star". Peeling paint in the bathroom, worn furniture, rust on the lamp, poor bedding are just a few comments I would have. While it was clean the inferior condition of... More

We arrived on a red-eye flight and get to the hotel mid-morning. We were able to check in late-morning. The staff at the front desk were very accommodating. Great hotel and location. Would recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for one night with the bf ! Easy check in and great restaurant downstairs. The restaurant made sure everything worked out to a T, probably one of the greatest waiters I have experienced is Max at Wildfire Restaurant. The room itself was quite small, cute but small. There was a balcony from which you could see the Cn... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
