If you're not concerned with fancy amenities and 5 star restaurants, the Isabella is a decent place to stay. Although it's not smack dab in the middle of the action (a few subway stops away), it's a quiet residential neighborhood with the Sherbourne station about a block away. I was here on a solo trip, I'm a female, and I... More

A friend and myself stayed here back in 2011 (Disregard October 2014, it doesn't go any farther back), and we had no problems whatsoever with this hotel. It's not a 5 star place, the room we stayed in was very tiny. You get what you pay for, and we did not pay too much to stay here, but it's definitely... More

If you're not concerned about space and if you're not the type to unpack upon arrival, you'll be just fine! We arrived later in the evening and were received very warmly. Our room was small but we knew that when we booked! If you're someone who requires a tub, this is not the place for you! If you're high maintenance,... More

Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Sketchy people everywhere inside the hotel. From the outside it looks like a crack house. Rude front desk (MALA!). A bathroom so small that while sitting on the toilet, I could brush my teeth, clean the shower open the window and yet still not be able to properly administer toilet paper in an easy way.... More

First time in Canada and everything was so nice!! The hotel is really good! I loved the friendly staff there! Downstairs is a great bar restaurant where you can relax! The Internet is little slow but it's ok for free internet! Also my room was really clean and that's why I like this hotel!

Pros -close to subway station -clean and comfortable beds -continental breakfast included -mini fridge in room Cons -paper thin walls mean you can hear EVERYTHING (we were woken up from a dead both nights we were there from people talking and laughing in the next room) -tiny rooms with not much place to put luggage; no desk for business -tiny... Expensive parking, tiny rooms with no desk, slow internet, running water sound all night, just above a busy bus stop, and front door was broken. I didn't mind as much, but the elevator was broken for 3 days. Worst of all is that they wouldn't give me a receipt. They said that they don't know what I was charged (that... More

Isabella is a perfectly good hotel. It is old and the rooms are small, but the room I stayed in has a thoroughly modern bath. And it was very clean. The lobby has nice furniture and it is a pleasant place to sit. Breakfast and wifi are included. Short walk to subway. I will stay here again.

The Isabella hotel is decent, there is nothing special about the hotel that would make me visit again. My boyfriend and I came to Toronto for New Year's, we wanted something nice but with out spending a ton of money. Pros about this hotel is that it is pretty clean and it is decently located in the city, about a... More
