We found the hotel on groupon and were excited to stay in a rustic hotel in downtown Toronto. We were also looking for a budget friendly hotel such as an equivalent to a Red Roof as our trip was budget friendly. Unfortunately the hotel was less than satisfactory. The first night we woke up to a flood coming from a... More

Positive: The room and bathroom are small but clean. It is very close to the Sherbourne subway station. From this station, you can take the subway directly to Kipling to transfer to the airport rocket bus. From Kipling, it takes only 20mins to the airport. It cost $3/person for the entire journey (subway+bus). So much cheaper than the other airport... More

Honestly? I was terrified to stay here from all the negative reviews. But, it was NYE, and we NEEDED somewhere to stay. I don't think the people that gave bad reviews have ever been out of the country, let alone stayed in anything less than a 4 star hotel. I found there to be absolutely nothing wrong with our stay.... There is hair everywhere in the bed, we asked to change to another room thinking this might be just an accident, it turned out that the beds are just dirty in this place! It's nothing like the description on Groupon, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Everything about it is wrong, bad advertising, advertise whirlpool bath which of course with everything else including the toaster just broke 2 days ago. Dials fall off heater, overflow falls off, hard crusty towels and the maintenance person walked out a week ago ! Stale bread and muffins and a tub of margarine which was full of crumbs was part... They did it again. Each of the last 4 years we have come here thinking that the administrative handling of things would have improved as the quality of the property has. No such luck. Right from the start there were problems: the actual amount of the charges, the parking reservation, and the actual room that was assigned. The major problem... More

Stayed here for one night. Rooms are very, very small and spartan. Bed, one small chair, tiny bathroom with a standup shower. The ben linens has some stains on them, probably time to get rid of those. The temperature was very slow to adjust ... freezing cold, turned it up and it was very slow to move, and then it... More

We were booked in for one night and the hotel itself is quaint and I really liked it, however when we checked into our room at 3:00pm it was 13 degrees.....we adjusted the heat and one hour later we were at a whooping 14 degrees. Trying to get dressed for a night out was awful. We were turning blue we... More

After reading reviews of this hotel on serval sites I was a little worried that I paid money for something I was going to be disappointed with and that a respectable company like Hotwire would associate themselves with a place that had bad reviews. After getting there, the parking was not well marked, but was explained perfectly when I went... More

this is a cracking little place in downtown toronto. for 99 dollars a night i got a very comfortable and quiet room, not very big but very nice. the staff were really helpful and they comped me a days parking of $15. It's not the Ritz but for the price I thought it was excellent. There was plenty to eat... More
