when I got there I was shocked. there was minimum parking and you had to pay for it. and good luck when you came back and went out even though you paid parking wasn't guaranteed. they show a hotel in the ad but it wasn't the same. they rooms were old and small. you could barely get in bathroom with... My husband and I were looking for a romantic getaway in town. We thought it would be neat staying in a old mansion. Yes it was updated, but there was a lot of small things that were missed bothered us. We could ignore that, but it wasn't as clean as we hoped either. It was less then romantic for us.

I have been staying here for years, been in every type of room, from basement to top, i love the new refurbished rooms, and the continental breakfast is one of the better one. I have been unsuccessful in trying to book recently, hoping all is good with this hotel.

We stayed here in October as part of a package with British Airways, we were shown to room 209 & walked straight back out. The room was in terrible condition & was very cold. I went to reception & had another two rooms to look at before we settled on our 'business' basement room with a delightful view of a... More

This is a budget hotel. A third of the hotel has been renovated and the rooms are substantially better than the older rooms. We had three rooms booked and only one was the refurbished room. The walls are very thin and you could hear EVERYTHING in your rooms and the hallway. The breakfast is included but do yourself a favour... More

We chose this accommodation as it was reasonably priced and it seemed it would have lots of character. We were not disappointed pe-say but probably expecting it to be a bit more opulent. Roms were basic, though comfortable and it did lack character. We did find out however that the hotel will close down soon to make way for a... More

The Clarion Selby is closing at the end of October, 2014, major redevelopment taking over the sight. It had a good run, was very good value for money, sorry to see it go. Great location, staff were helpful. Part of the hotel is being saved as an historic element in the new 49 story development taking place on the site.

After 2 months traveling, sharing dorms and living out a backpack, I fancied treating myself to a hotel for my final 3 nights. Except I had little money left so my brother kindly offered to book/pay for it for me. Unsure of whether him booking it on his card while not present would be an issue, I called the hotel... More

Dear Sir, We apologies for the confusion that happened on the phone. There are hundreds of 3rd party websites located all over the world. As a hotel we are unable to know the policies of each one of them. As a booker one as to read the policy, understand and abide by it, If you have a questions, one needs... More

We chose this hotel because it was a reasonable price for downtown Toronto and it lived up to those expectations. However, we were disappointed at several other aspects of the hotel experience. Although the hotel bathrooms do have new fixtures and the beds were fine, the rest of the room was old and dated. We had trouble getting hot water... More

Upon arrival and check in, we were Initially put in a basement room, playfully referred to by the front desk as the first floor. It smelled of death and hookers feet. I went back up to the front desk to insist on a different room(something a little less dungeon like and above ground) whilst my wife surely coward in the... More
