If you are looking for a luxury hotel with great views, do not stay at this hotel. However, if you like great customer service, updated rooms with a lovely bathroom and rain shower, a delicious, plentiful breakfast at no extra cost at a hotel within walking distance to downtown and subway access across the street........then this hotel will be a... First off I would like to say this is a beautiful hotel! I was truly impressed with their preservation of such a historical monument! Beautiful and delightful! NOW THE BAD: this is supposedly a rough part of town! Yes I went there thinking it wasn't as bad as i heard I was wrong! 4 cars were BROKEN IN TO on... More

Let me first start out by sharing that his hotel is actually someones house, renovated into a neat little hotel. I visit Toronto frequently to visit friends, and this hotel is on the top of my list. Stayed once back on May 16th for 3 nights, to go to an Avicii concert. Initially chose this hotel because my buddy really... More

I lived two months in this mansion in 1989. Clarion did a very good job renovating the place. Though the lobby (reception desk) and hallways need some tender loving care Our room 218 was clean well renovated fabulous bathroom and well decorated. The only thing to improve is the pillows they were awful . Our head would completely sink in... More

The neighborhood is a little edgy, but the hotel was delightful. Complimentary breakfast was adequate. The hotel is near everything..Yorktown, downtown, Old town, distillery district, etc. Parking is very limited with only 17 spots at the hotel and they are very tight. Parking is extra at $17/night. Very good sleeping with king beds and nicely decorated.

Pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a beautifully, re-done room! Very reasonable rates and friendly staff. Breakfast included and it was great and I really enjoyed the sunroom! Very enjoyable stay!

Stayed here for the second time as part of a school trip. The front desk service is excellent, rooms are clean, good breakfast, renovated rooms are very nice. Very close to a subway station and fast food restaurants are within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

When I walked in, the smell was of an old building. The front desk clerk hardly said two words to me. They tried to transform the lobby into a contemporain style with minimum $. So they took away any historic flavour this building may have left but did not transform it enough to look contemporain. The furniture in the hall... More

Booked for 89$ via choice website, CAA price. The hotel is located next to Sherbourne TTC station so easy access by public transit. The building is definitely beautiful, but lobby and corridors need some TLC, small old school elevator, not appealing. The room however was recently remodeled, Ikea chic, but functional, great king bed, not much of view (but no... More

This was my first time out of country and in Toronto. I booked this hotel on Priceline and thought, WOW its an old mansion. I was so excited, because I love old places converted to hotels or bed and breakfast places. I finally get to my hotel, worn out and get my room. It is down a long hall, in... More
