My wife and I have just returned from an eight night stay at Pantages. I can't compliment the customer service enough, especially Rupeltia and Ricky. They bent over backwards to enhance our first time in Toronto. Their meal recommendations and level of local knowledge were second to none. They made our trip all the more enjoyable.

Spent a great long weekend at Pantages while exploring Toronto. Great room with fridge, stove, sink and beautiful city view and the price was right. Located right in the heart of the city with easy access to subway and trolleys. Everything went great but upon leaving we thought someone might have had access to our valet parked car. Long story... Location for downtown Toronto was very good, close to Eaton Centre and theatres. Room, although quite large with a kitchen, a little disappointing: small bathroom, cracked sink, drawers for cloths fell out on the floor if not careful, a/c control in a weird place. Nice bar downstairs and friendly, helpful staff.

Stayed 2 nights back in June. Our room was on the top floor, and was pretty large, included a kitchenette area, plus a washer and dryer. So would be fantastic for families, or if you're staying a longer period of time and need / want cooking / washing facilities. Fairly small double bed in the huge room though, felt waay... More

My 18 year old son and I came to Toronto for his 18th birthday to see Kinky Boots (a great show). We have stayed at the Hilton and the Sheridan before. This time I booked the Pantages Hotel. It was awesome. It is modern And very clean. A smaller hotel so no check in lines. Staff was very friendly. I... More

Stayed for 4 nights on a quick stopover while visiting friends. Room was large, king size bed was super comfortable and my bathroom has a spa bath in it. Its location in downtown Toronto makes it easy to get around to do lots of sightseeing.

Good for short stays, specially when location is important. However the room is noisy - can make you uncomfortable after a while. The staff is friendly and helpful, I didn't have the breakfast or something else from the kitchen.

Nice simple hotel this is second time coming to the pantages hotel ..i would definately go again. Service was great...room was small and had everything needed in a hotel stay, had a mini kitchen...no big disturbance other then the cleaning person trying to come in the room a few times before check out.

This hotel is nothing like it is advertised. The photos are not indicative of the quality of the room. We upgraded to the highest level king suite and were greeted with a filthy range, tiny bathroom w/ tub (was told it was glass shower), no linens for pull-out bed, and the rest of the room was dirty and disgusting. Also,... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
