We stayed at Pimblett's for one night in the Bewdley Suite which occupies the entire third floor! We splashed around in the giant Jacuzzi tub and afterwards lounged under the stars on our private deck, sans clothes ;) The B&B is older and the carpets threadbare in a few places however it still has plenty of charm. A delicious breakfast... More

This hit all the marks for us. My beau and I drove up from Ottawa and stayed for 4 nights in the honeymoon suite. We enjoyed a private top floor balcony, huge bathroom with huge jacuzzi, queen size bed with fresh bedding, clean towels, shelves of books, and of course a deliciously filling English breakfast every morning. We had breakfast... More

We booked this B&B because it did sound wonderful. It was anything but that! It was dark, cramped, very dusty, and smelled of cooking grease. If it were not for jet lag we would have left as soon as we were greeted at the door. There was no air conditioning and the room was stifling. The window was held open... More

Just now getting a chance to say thanks...After 2 nights of sleeping in the darkness at our home during the recent winter lights-out in Toronto, we needed a reasonably priced place to feel warm and secure. So, my partner and I spent the next 2 nights at Pimblett's Downtown B&B. It surely made the rest of the outage went by... More

Given I live in Toronto, I don't often get to enjoy the comforts of a Cabbagetown B&B but a recent unexpected power outage changed that. Pimblett’s was a warm and welcoming reprieve from the darkness of my home in the Annex. Really enjoyed the charm of this place – much more fun than a boring, run-of-the-mill hotel. It's a guest... I needed a place to stay for a week while my condo was being renovated so I went back to Pimblett's. It was even more charming than before because the beautiful patio was open. The garden was in full bloom and the doberman was as friendly as ever. I stayed in the Butlers Room which was clean and quiet with... More

We booked what we thought was going to be a delightful hotel. However, it was far from delightful, "olde world" or lovely. On the contrary, it was dark, filthy, dusty, and smelled like a greasy truck-stop diner. We were deeply disappointed. The best description of this place is a "halfway house" for filthy criminals or the last resting place for... More

"As an operator of a bed and breakfast, reviews are very important to me. They often show us what we are doing right and where we can improve, so we can learn from feedback. Occasionally we get a review that is so scathing that we find it difficult to understand why. This is such a review and here is my... More

My partner and I stayed over the Easter Holiday and really enjoyed ourselves. The B & B is located in an Edwardian brick house within a 15 minute walk to the Eaton Centre. All the rooms have ensuite baths and each has a different name e.g. Agatha Christie Room . The place is furnished in a collection of Victorian antiques... More

Other reviewers have mentioned the Addams family camp clutter of this establishment with every service covered in a book or clutter but not dirty or dusty. There are old stairs you have to navigate so beware when bringing luggage. I had the Agetha Christie suite & it was fine; linen clean & bed soft. Aircon worked but prefer it off... More

If you ever wanted to take an interesting trip into the past this is the place for you. There is a little bit of everything for everyone. We had the honeymoon suite and it was a great room with a comfortable bed. I hadn't slept that good in a "hotel" bed in a while. It felt like home. The breakfast... More
