Other reviewers have mentioned the Addams family camp clutter of this establishment with every service covered in a book or clutter but not dirty or dusty. There are old stairs you have to navigate so beware when bringing luggage. I had the Agetha Christie suite & it was fine; linen clean & bed soft. Aircon worked but prefer it off... More

If you ever wanted to take an interesting trip into the past this is the place for you. There is a little bit of everything for everyone. We had the honeymoon suite and it was a great room with a comfortable bed. I hadn't slept that good in a "hotel" bed in a while. It felt like home. The breakfast... More

One of the best B&B I ever tried. The innkeeper is a very polite and kind British man. His breakfast is tasty and complete with all you want. He prepare the breakfast... you dont need to prepare by yourself... The B&B is his house, beautifull house, like a museum. Instead of fake B&B (with modern furniture but the owner live... More

Being world wide travellers from the UK and having stayed at numerous B & B`s throughout the world we can honestly say how extremely disappointed we were in this overpriced accommodation. We were in the supposedly "honeymoon suite" which was cramped due to the extra bed !!, heating was uncontrollable and uncomfortably hot. Decoration and the general condition of the... More

We liked this B&B very much for it being so different from others. I don't think that we have seen anywhere so many objet d'art scattered around a house. To some it could appear 'cluttered' but the house certainly had character & charm and must have reminded many of the 1930s. Geoffrey (Pimblett) was a good host and we enjoyed... More

I stayed here for 4 nights and was delighted by the beautiful house/mansion. The room ("The Library") was large with a nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. The house is an old style mansion with beautiful wood, and many high-quality antiques and paintings spread all over. The hospitality and friendliness of Mr. Pimblett and his staff was wonderful and very... More

Okay....? Where do I start...that is kind of the question I asked myself when I entered this house! Jam packed full of "conversation pieces" it was quite different from anywhere I have stayed before. But I have to say I loved it! It,s definitely not for everyone but the beds are comfy, the bathrooms are spacious with nice strong showers... More

If you hate clutter, stop reading now. If you can cope with clutter, but hate cats and dogs, I'd recommend another internet search. For the rest of you that love kooky, kitschy, chintzy charm then Pimbett's Downtown B+B is just the ticket. Crammed full of stuff from straw boaters, to stuffed deer heads, to books, books, books, to silverware, to... More

This was my third stay at this casual B&B in a rambling brick Victorian in Cabbagetown. I keep coming back because I love the eccentric decor, the casual atmosphere, and the quiet off-the-beaten-path location. As other reviewers have noted, this place is not for everyone. Don't stay here if you expect turndown service, new linens every day, or cookie-cutter accommodations.... More

My husband I stayed here in September 2011 for 4 days. The B&B was the worse B&B we have stayed in. It was dirty, very very cluttered and not your typical B&B. We asked for some coffee or tea in the afternoon and was told it is only served at breakfast. They offered nothing to us. The host was not... More
