Stayed here in a private room for 4 nights. Room itself is certainly very good for the price with plenty of space and small private bathroom. Staff are generally a very friendly if a little passive towards people not here for an extended stay. Plenty of activities on, discounts available for some attractions and quiet common areas. Bar has cheap... More

This hostel was a very clean and convenient place to stay. -Easy to get to. -Great staff. -Excellent breakfast. -Clean rooms. Also, a very well organised hostel in a very good area for bars and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This is simply a wao wao place right in the heart of Toronto. Has some of the best team manning it. Sean and Travis at the front desk were gentlemen par excellence and had the best interpersonal skills. Barring one or two staff guys, this place is excellent with good safety of valuables and at a walking distance from most... More

Great location and price. Breakfast is amazing. However rooms are small and do not represent pictures on the website. Bathroom is even smaller and not very cleanest. Mattress was worn out and broken on one side.

First i have to say this was my very first stay in a Hostel ever (lets dont count school trips from the past)! As i was travelling solo and stayed for 4 nights this property had the best price and best rating. The location is also fantastic, everything in walking distance. Did i mention that you can get breakfast in... More

This is a nice, affordable hostel in Downtown Toronto. The staff is friendly and accommodating (to the point of storing my luggage for free for the 5 hour interim between when I checked out and when it was time for my bus to depart Toronto). It has free wifi, free breakfast, a decent kitchen, and a downstairs bar for the... More

a really nice hostel with an amazing breakfast! Only 3 minutes walking time for the subway and everything is clean. It's nothing special and no luxury, but for the prize, it's amazing. The staff is really nice and helpful as much as they can :) I would defintily come back for my next time in Toronto.

There's nothing I can fault about this hostel. It was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. I loved the quirky décor downstairs in the 'cavern' and in the public areas. The rooms were a good size and having a private bathroom was ideal. I also loved the way they organised breakfast in the mornings, and it was a decent... More

The hostel has no luxury, but if this is not a problem to you, it's worth. I hadn't problem with the music from the bar (the pub is below the street level) in my rooms at floors 5th and 7th (two rooms that I stayed). My first room (7th floor), they collected the garbage, but didn't tidied the bed (only... More

Beds were comfortable. Main issue is the loud music playing at night that can be heard from the dorms. Lockers were a bit smaller than expected. Breakfast was good. All in all a great place for the value.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
