I stayed at the Soho by myself and was so impressed had my wife join me for a few nights when we were visiting her family in Ontario from Australia minus the kids. The hotel has great touches along with a good location. The room was arguably the best I have stayed in anywhere in the world. I'll be back!

The rooms were very big and spacious, with a big walk in wardrobe and bathroom. Staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. We had dinner at their Chinese restaurant and the food was excellent. We also dined at their Whallburgers restaurant which was very good as well. Wifi was fast, gym was good and the pool... More

I can't give the Soho Metro more compliments - the hotel is on the smaller side but that just means better service and keen attention to detail. From the very warm welcome as we pulled up, to the expansive room (normal rooms are huge), to the beautiful bathrooms...I thoroughly appreciated the hotel cleaning crew that came in twice a day... The staff and appointments are top notch. They will bend over backward to accommodate if they can. Rooms are always very clean and well appointed. There are a few rooms right next to elevators that are a little noisy. The food and in house restaurant are great, but quite expensive. Clientele is generally very friendly. This hotel is very good... More

This is probably the swankiest place I've stayed in. First, the rooms are spacious: king-size bed, walk-in closet, and large bathroom with large tub and separate glass-enclosed shower with two shower heads. I've stayed in both the regular and deluxe rooms--the deluxe has a larger living room area with couch, but I think everything else is the same. The size... More

Amazing hotel in the heart of downtown Toronto. I stayed here with my husband in early June, we could not have been more impressed. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were amazing. Molton Brown toiletries paper everyday. There was only one small thing, the room we were in looked out on to a building site, but as we were... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights earlier this month and loved it. Though I was there for a conference, we were still able to enjoy our stay. The hotel is in a great downtown location just minutes from many many attractions. though we were on the 2nd floor facing the street, we could see the CN tower from our... More

This is a great hotel, ideally located and very posh. I have been here numerous times, and can't wait to return. It is comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. Beds are comfortable, rooms generously proportioned, and amenities tempting. Stay here if you can get a room, you won't be disappointed.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
