My husband and I stayed at the Soho on Friday August 28th. We had dinner downtown with friends to celebrate my husband's birthday. The Soho is in an incredible location. This was my second stay and my husband's first stay. We were both impressed with the prompt service of the bellman, Aaron who came out to greet us when we... More

Amazing one night stay. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was incredible (right by Rogers stadium and CN tower ) and the room was awesome. Free upgrade to a nicer room too. Will stay again !

First time at the SoHo in Toronto for a last minute weekend getaway. Nicely nestled in the middle of everything. Easy walk to wherever you want to go. Super friendly & helpful staff. Concierge Michael was incredible - he got us a reservation at the Amsterdam Brew house (and we avoided a huge line up outside the restaurant). Walking distance... More

Nice hotel in the entertainment district of Toronto. Its about 2 blocks from The Rogers Centre in one direction and a few blocks from the shops + restaurants of Queen St W. The hotel is very modern and very clean. My room was quite large and the bathroom was fantastic. The heated floors were a nice touch. I got turn... More

This is an outstanding hotel in the entertainment district of Toronto. It is walking distance from the Toronto Island Airport which was a plus. The rooms were exceptional and well appointed. My only complaint (and this could just be due to its location) was the cell signal was weak at times.

My husband and I have stayed here twice in 2 years when visiting Toronto, we like the SoHo that much. There is no reason to stay elsewhere, this is a lovely boutique hotel with beautiful large rooms, great decor, great service, and with a great location. There are several restaurants within the hotel and many nearby, and it is literally... More

The room itself is great so I have no complaints other than the location of my room and the staff. I am currently about 2 months into my 6 month stay. Staying at a hotel and communicating with the staff for the past two months, I have actually learned most of their names. However, it kind of ruins the experience... More

This is a top notch hotel in the heart of the entertainment district of Toronto. The service was remarkably friendly and efficient. The Deluxe King room amenities were exceptional. Small luxuries included a bedside switch for the drapes, and "do not disturb" button. The bathroom was spacious and included heated marble floor. The most enjoyable of our many stays in... More

I stayed at the Soho by myself and was so impressed had my wife join me for a few nights when we were visiting her family in Ontario from Australia minus the kids. The hotel has great touches along with a good location. The room was arguably the best I have stayed in anywhere in the world. I'll be back!

The rooms were very big and spacious, with a big walk in wardrobe and bathroom. Staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. We had dinner at their Chinese restaurant and the food was excellent. We also dined at their Whallburgers restaurant which was very good as well. Wifi was fast, gym was good and the pool... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
