I was there for 4 nights for a conference. We choose that hotel because the other ones on Kingston road increased their prices a lot for the Pan Am Games. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant. It wasn't a horrible place but there were so many negatives that I would not return. The smells in the hotel... More

Noise from construction.. Food in the am not very good. Toasters did not work well.. Mold in the bathroom.. Coffee pot in room not clean.. Only good thing was that it was near our destination.

Was looking for a place to stay the night and this did the trick. It was close to downtown Toronto and was clean and quiet. Will definitely stay here again if i'm in the area. The hotel is undergoing a renovation but that didn't affect our stay at all. Free breakfast was offered as well but we didn't try it.

We liked that this hotel was very reasonably priced, clean, quiet and comfortable. It is situated steps away from public transportation and from the lovely Rosetta McClain gardens (which has free access and parking) overlooking "the Bluffs".

I think it;s fair to suggest that this hotel offers reasonable rooms at a reasonable rate. I’ve stayed here multiple times and found it to be quiet for the most part - there were a few occasions however, where management turned a blind-eye to noisy guests carrying on late into the night. Nonetheless, staff are generally accommodating and helpful. The... More

Hotel undergoing renovations. Still, it's OK. Great garden park nearby overlooking Lake Ontario.

Staying in Scarborough

Neighborhood Profile
Scarborough
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
