My son and I were in Boatel last June. The boat is located in a beautiful para of the city, very close to the CN Tower. We loved Toronto and a big part of it was because our host were great. Diane and Ted really help us to make our stay unforgettable. Breakfast was delicious, homemade by Diane. Beautiful place,... More

I stayed at the Boatel in July 2015 and had a wonderful experience. Dian was a welcoming host and gave me some background on the city, recommendations of things to do and was very friendly. The space was quaint but exactly what I was looking for. Breakfast in the morning was a combination of great food and terrific conversation. Highly... More

My sisters and I spent four nights at the Boatel for our annual sisters' getaway. Spending time at the boatel is a unique and fun experience; Diane and Ted are wonderful hosts, providing us with useful information on sights to see and how to get there. The breakfasts are delicious and artfully arranged :-). And the chocolates left on our... More

Fantastic 5 night stay, we were made to feel very welcome. Owners very helpful on local places to go and things to do. Great breakfast and comfortable bed. Even had a birthday card for my partner along with champagne.

We are glad you pick the Boatel to spend you birthday in Toronto. You were only there 5 days but it seemed much longer, just like family visiting - but better! Diane & Ted More

I stayed on the Boatel the weekend of the Indycar race in June. Also onboard was a couple from the UK & Ireland. It was always fun to share travel stories with the other guests as well as Captain Ted, and his first-mate Diane who spend part of their year sailing the sunny Caribbean waters. Diane is an amazing cook,... More

We are thrilled that you enjoyed your first B & B stay and hope that you get to experience many other B & B's - as they say "B & B's are the better way to stay". Just wished we could have had better weather for you for this trip but glad you enjoyed it. Diane & Captain Ted More

As luck would have it, the hotel I stay in every year when I attend the World Conference on Disaster Management was fully booked and all other hotels near the Metro Convention Centre were also full. Boatel was discovered through Travelocity and as stated in their promotional material, it was everything and more. Diane & Ted were gracious and courteous... More

Great to meet you both and thanks for taking the time to write a review. We're glad you could enjoy the Boatel during your business trip and be able to walk to the convention centre. You will need to come back to visit again now that the construction fences are all gone and the waterfront trail is open. See you... More

An unbelievable view and serene setting in the shadows of Toronto's beautiful skyline. In my opinion a more convenient location could not be found for all we wanted to do on this trip. The island, concert venues, historic breweries and entertaining festivals all within walking distance or a short hop on a streetcar. Breakfast was unique and delicious and our... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
