LIKEs: spacious suite, luxurious furnitures & everything in the room, soft beds & pillows, delicious breakfast -- a melange of freshly baked pastries every morning, croissant is super yummy, Nespresso in room. Complete privacy. Pleasant music & sound system. Near everything. Supermarket at basement. Service is perfect. DON't LIKE: trying to find the hotel entrance/exit lift from basement parking was... It has been a long time since I have stayed at a hotel that really impressed and dazzled me. This hotel won't overwhelm you with over the top opulence, but rather makes its mark with thoughtfulness in its design and attention to little details. I stayed here for one week for business and would HIGHLY recommend. COST - $329 ROOM... More

This hotel is literally across the street from the Air Canada Centre so perfect location. The hotel is very modern and clean and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The concierge in particular was very amicable and helpful. The room was fantastic and bed was very comfortable. There is underground parking available nearby and... More

The hotel, staff and location were great. Room was extremely nice! Excellent bathroom and amenities. Everything was clean and modern. Had dinner at the hotel bar, the food was good and the bar tender was very friendly. The free breakfast surpassed my expectations. I will stay here next time I am in Toronto.

A lovely hotel well situated. The station is next door and will bring you easily to different areas. Staff is super nice and helpful. Complementary breakfast is the cherry on the pie. The pastries are just to die for. A minus tough in the room where the shower was a little bit old and dis not work properly. The pressure... More

Room was nice....very ultra modern. Shower stall is glass walls and person who is showering cannot control the privacy...only the other people in the room can...not my style. Door to toilet stall cannot lock, let alone close completely (no lock)...no privacy. Staff are all very nice and accommodating. Location is the best and close to everything. Although it was a... This is such a great alternative to the big chain hotels, that all try to pull off what Le Germain is doing naturally- highly recommended! This particular hotel is well located with walking distance to the subway.

I arrived as a late last minute booking when my flight from Billy Bishop airport was cancelled. I don't know what the other rooms are like but mine on the top floor was such luxury! I sink into the soft king sized bed. Nice jazz was playing on the Tivoli audio. I order room service as the restaurants nearby were... More

The purpose of our stay was to see and Blue Jays game - and they WON. Hotel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square is just a short walk away. The bed and linens were out of this world. We had a great sleep! The continental breakfast had a lot of variety. We were very satisfied the the quality and quantity of... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
