Other than its location, which just off Yonge St is pretty close to Dundas Square, everything else is what you expect from a worldwide chain. Therefore the usual lack of attention to detail; such as in room beverage trays not stocked properly and gym equipment out of order

We arrived at this hotel, it was an ideal location, close to restuarants, shops and little stores for snacks etc. We were placed on the 19th floor and there were 4 lifts so at busy times it may take a little while to get back down to the lobby but everyone was friendly and helpful. The room itself was a... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. It has a great location, as in the same block, there is a subway entrance, the streetcar line, multiple coffee shops, 7-eleven, other restaurants, and Loblaws extensive grocery store. (Starbucks in the front of the hotel) It's also easy short walking distance to the hospitals around the College&University intersection. I had a room on... More

My husband and I have stayed at a number of hotels in the Toronto downtown over the years, from 3 star to 5 star. We were coming to see a Jays game and the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre was one of the only places with a room because the game date was during the TIFF. Check in and out... More

Yes, rooms are small (do I really need to swing a feline?), but clean with free wifi and fridge. A solo traveller in a 4 sleeper room, whilst visiting family, so not an issue. Hotel conveniently close to subway and open top bus tourist route. Everything in easy reach. The signature Lublaws store, only metres away, provides excellent food options.... More

Stayed here on trip to see Toronto and the Orioles play the Blue Jays. Hotel is a block away from the subway. Rooms are quite small and the hotel shows some age. Rooms were kept relatively clean, though room had that slightly musty smell you get in older hotels. Room was on the Carlton Street side and was easy to... More

Stayed at Holiday Inn, Carlton Street, Downtown, Toronto from 12th.May to 16th.May 2014. Together with my wife, her sister and her husband we had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Whilst the rooms were small, they were more than acceptable. However, what impressed us most was the helpful attitude of the staff generally. At all times they were courteous... More

Great location but the rooms are small compared to other hotels in this price range, I had a king room and it was quite small. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I like that this hotel has a fridge in the rooms and free wifi.

I read many reviews about this hotel before booking it. I was hesitant because so many complained about how small the rooms were. I don't know what the problem is with people. So, the room was a little smaller, so what?! There were two of us in the room and we had no problem whatsoever. There was plenty of room.... More

Loved that this hotel was centrally located. Too bad they don't offer a continental breakfast for the amount charged. Pillows were amazing. Room was very clean. Not the most comfortable mattress, but still a good night sleep. Don't expect to be able to use wi-fi. While it is free, it is slow and the connection always stops. But, I didn't... More
