Comfortable and quiet rooms located in the city centre. A quick walk up Yonge Street will find you a variety of bars and food. The tram runs right past the front door for easy transport. The hotel is a little old, but the prices are reflective of this, and the rooms have been renovated in the last couple of years.... More

Stayed at the Holiday inn for two nights and, overall, was very pleased with the property and would definitely return. The location is probably the best part - located right in the heart of downtown with a short walk to various amenities in sight, including a 10min walk to the Eaton Centre. The room itself was very comfortable despite being... More

The rooms here are quite small - if you have more than 1 person in a 1 bed room you really need to move aside to let someone pass. Furniture and bedding is tired. If you are not from the city it can be stressful arriving as the front of the hotel is on a busy street and parking is... More

The room was great, really big for a hotel in the citycenter. The location of the hotel is perfect, you are very close to the main things that are happening in the city. Roomservice is a bit expensive.

I am a disabled young "senior" who utilizes a disability walker. I needed to find a Hotel in Downtown Toronto for 2 nights while I had a medical appointment. I read previous reviews on this Holiday Inn. The message that seemed to come a across was that the rooms and bathroom were small and the hotel showed it's age. Well,... More

The front desk person was very warm and inviting (was my first visit to toronto) The room was very clean. The plug for the bathtub was broken and they had it fixed within 15 minutes. Thirty One Restaurant was amazing, the food and service. Mister Darryl went above and beyond for me and my boyfriend when we went there for... More

With the comfort and amenities of Holiday Inn, this hotel is right beside the old Maple Leaf Gardens and a short walk from the Eaton Center. Great location, recently updated rooms, comfy bed. Great stay for a reasonable price.

Good place to stay when you're in Toronto. Convenient to all of downtown. Rooms are very small but clean. We had an end room and the window was laughably tiny. So much for a view of the city! The walls are very thin and you can hear people coming and going in the hallway.

It is actually the 2nd time we've stayed here, the location is conveniently close to anything you need to reach downtown and having streetcars & subway right outside was perfect. Admittedly the rooms are incredibly small (and the streetcars quite noisy if you face the front) but it is obvious an effort has been made to update. It was on... More

Rooms have ugly white battle-hardened walls scarred from years of wheeled suitcases scraping between the end of the bed and the wall...because there's not enough room! Windows so dirty it is difficult to see outside. The sink is jammed in the corner of the tiny bathroom, along with the bathroom mirror to allow them both to fit. It's not fun... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
