I almost stayed here with my family, when my mother escorted my brother and I to our room there were bullet holes in one of the walls and the carpet had been cut up underneath, please for your own safety do not stay in this death trap.

I was very disappointed in my recent trip to this hotel. My friends and I stay at this hotel every year for our annual trip to Toronto as it is close to the bar we frequent. This time I had booked the room a few days prior - the confirmation email stated our room was guaranteed as long we arrived... More

Fair enough, it's a cheap hotel with a relatively short tram trip downtown. Although, it is dirty, small, and reeks of cigarette smoke. Me and a buddy stayed here and could hardly get around one another trying to walk in the room. Not super friendly or willing to help staff. Seemed a little more occupied with twiddling his thumbs than... More

Staying on Roncesvalles gives great access to and from the Airport and central city as well as many delightful restaurants closeby. Good simple hotel with adequate breakfast at sensible prices.

Great hotel, lovely staff, brilliant breakfast! Good position right on street car route, great for sightseeing Toronto. Would use again without hesitation.

Small room, outdated lobby and room furnishings. $12/day parking was 3 blocks away. Breakfast consisted of bread, juice/coffee, cereal and waffles.

There is no elevator. The AC unit worked, but had seen better days (better years, maybe even a better decade). The room was tiny with the sleeping area being smaller than my bathroom at home. There was no room to put the supplied chair between the bed and the desk, so I found it easier to just sit on the... More

My group of friends and I stayed at this hotel for two nights while in Toronto for a music festival. Our reason for booking this hotel was the price, it can't be beat in Toronto. We basically paid for two nights, what it costs for one night anywhere else. You do get what you pay for though, the rooms are... More

Recently stayed here because i was having gastric bypass at the St Jospeph Health Center hospital right around the corner. I booked my room months in advance and was assured multiple times by the clerk that my room was booked for 6 days and i would get the quoted hospital rate. The day before check out the clerk approached me... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
