Stayed at this hotel because we wanted an inexpensive hotel for 1 night stay in Toronto in this specific area. This was the only hotel in the area. The room was fine. Small, but fairly clean. What I would expect from a 2 star hotel for less than $100. My problem was with the front desk staff. I arrived to... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights because of the ok location and what we thought was a resonable price. Thinking about it now though, this place may be used on next seasons I'm a Celebrity Get me out of here! The 'maid' couldn't even be bothered hoovering the stairs, I don't actually think they own a hoover. Our room... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night only as we have been transferring from China to UK. Not really sure what to say about this hotel. LOCATION Howard Johnson is a conveniently located near lake shore hotel. It is quite easy to reach from nearest subway station, as you need to take only one tram. There are also two... More

Management was absolutely terrible. Rude and unwelcoming, wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. Room was dirty and smelled, paid extra for a fridge which was broken and was told it was to bad that's all they had when asked to switch.

Clean rooms but a bit on the small side. Quiet. Limited access at the front of the hotel for vehicles and parking a two minute drive away. Good value for money considering it's almost on the lake shore and was close to where we needed to be.

Stay here for 1 nite as I arrived a day earlier then I thought. Looking for a cheap place to crash after driving all day. It was $102 taxes and parking. You had to park 3 blocks away but it was underground and nothing was taken as I had a lot of stuff in the car. This was and old... More

Dirty, noisy, outdated. The bathroom was covered in long red hairs (mine is black). Pubic hairs covering toilet and floor. Dirty sheets, dusty.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
