I recently returned from a stay at this hotel for three nights. The location is nice, just one short block from the College Park subway stop and about a 10 minute walk from the Eaton Centre Mall. The location also has lots of ethnic restaurants in the area, with many open late. The lobby is very spacious and inviting and...

This property does a disservice to the Marriott Courtyard name. While the lobby is practical but inviting, the room is a grand disappointment. From plastic shower walls and moldy shower curtains, to broken drawers in the dresser, ancient air conditioner and a too-soft bed, I was disappointed. Internet access was good, the small fitness center was useful with newer equipment,...

I stayed at the Courtyard in November 2011, and it was a pleasant stay. The room was newly renovated. There was other renovation going on in the hotel, but it was well marked and did not interfere with service. The dining room menu had lots to choose from, and everyone at the table was satisfied with their dinner. I had...

The water runs hot and cold, making showering miserable, the sheets are clean but rough, the skirts on the beds are dirty and torn, and the mattresses sagging. There is also dust all along the edges of the floorboards and under the beds. Clearly the cleaning is superficial. Oh, and I could hear my neighbors, making sleep a bit difficult....

Fantastic location on Yonge Street. The common areas are nice, but the rooms are showing wear and the hallways weren't vacuumed during our three day stay. The soundproofing between rooms is weak if you are a light sleeper. I had stayed here four or five years ago, and was much more impressed. OK value if you get a decent rate...

The outlook when first entering the hotel was very positive as you are greeted by a smart, professional looking reception area and lounge. The rooms however are very average for a 'value' city centre hotel with not a huge number of luxuries (appreciating however that Courtyard is at the lower end of the Marriott chain), however our room in all...

I am a transportation employee and must stay at hotels more often than not. When in Toronto, we are being lodged at the Marriott Courtyard downtown. Ok, usually, when hotels/taxis/other services fares are negotiated by third parties, the customer is the victim. Horror stories abound, but don't apply here. Which is a great relief. From the very beginning of our...

I have stayed at several Marriot hotels in the past and this one ranks right up there in terms of service, rooms, and experience. The hotel is situated among many fast food and dine-in restaurants, shopping centre, and shops. The "balcony" room was spacious and clean but the balcony was more of a cityview but it was nice to be...

We enjoyed our little Downtown Toronto getaway over the holidays. We have stayed at this hotel before, and really like it. It is so close to the TTC - literally just steps away from the door, so everything in the city is accessable. If the weather cooperates, then you can have a lovely walk down Yonge St to the Eaton...
