I was slightly disappointed with this hotel and the area. It is functional and ok for a one night stay but I recommend that any leisure travellers spend extra to stay at the Marriott or elsewhere further downtown of the Eaton Centre. From write ups I was expecting the area to have a student or gay friendly feel - but... more

We stayed at this hotel primarily for the price, and were very pleased. Room was large, the included breakfast was enormous and delicious, and service was good. I suggest asking for a room that does not face Yonge Street, however, unless your hobby is collecting audio recordings of emergency vehicle sirens. more

Hotel was very nice and clean, typical of the Courtyard Marriotts. Pool was small but perfectly fun for my kids which range in age from 6 to 13. Location is very convenient with a parking garage right across the street for use by hotel guests. Toronto's sights are spread out so there isn't one location that I would say is... more

Stayed here June 23-25, 2009. Paid extra for a room on a higher floor to be away from city street noise. I requested extra towels when I made my reservation; towels weren't there when we checked in, but were delivered very quickly after I called the front desk. Room was clean, but needs to be updated. Wallpaper in bathroom was... more

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times (Most recently May 17th). The hotel is in a great downtown location, easy access to pretty much anywhere you might want to go in downtown Toronto. The hotel is very clean, looks relatively new and contemporary, the rooms are always nice and I think represent good value for your money.... more

Staff were friendly and we were offered fresh baked cookies upon check-in which was a nice welcoming touch. The usual hotel facilities are available including internet and travel information, however the hotel does have a very business-like feel. Rooms are clean and spacious (we had a Standard Queen) but they do lack a private safe. However, safety deposit boxes are... more

Marriott has been offering great room discounts, and that was the main reason I booked. I paid 95 a night, however, in the past I have paid up to 150 for the same rooms. The location of this hotel, right on Yonge Street, is where the hotel begins to shine. A ten minute walk will put you right in the... more

The hotel itself is very nice, but nothing special. If you're looking for a clean, friendly, up-to-date hotel, this one is great, but it's nothing over the top. The rooms are typical rooms, but the location is great. So many restaurants and shops within walking distance. It's three short subway stops to CN tower and they have daily tours to... more

We stayed in this hotel on the final leg of our Ontario trip and found this hotel to have the immediate wow factor as you entered. A great lobby and very pleasant and helpful staff. Although we arrived earlier than planned we were given a room immediately overlooking Yonge Street. The room was modern but a little on the small... more

Here are the reasons why I'd never choose the downtown Toronto Courtyard Mariott: - Long lineup (waited more than 40 minutes) to use the one (1) computer terminal with internet service (couldn't use the paid wifi in my room since it was slower than dial-up). There is no excuse why the Courtyard downtown Mariott can't have more than 1 computer... more
