If you are a light sleeper you may wish to carefully pucj your room or wait a couple of weeks for the construction to finish. I was in the room 130 range and there were multiple times scattered in the night with noisesnfrom what sounded like a kitchen. The breakfast in the lounge is good and has a nice early... More

We stayed here on NYE 2016 and it was great. The lobby was still undergoing renos but the concierge right at the door were super helpful, even asking us if we wanted our luggage brought up. They gave us directions to the temp lobby and we found it easily. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I loved that there... More

The majority of people staying at this hotel will do so because of its location, which is certainly ideal if you're moving around downtown. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but there was nothing that set them apart from other Courtyard hotels in the Toronto area. The best thing about this hotel in my opinion is the restaurant. Fabulous food... More

First off, the room and location were great for what I wanted but otherwise the hotel was unremarkable. Granted the hotel is under renovation so the flow is a bit confusing, but it did not detract from my stay. That being said, the room was clean and the bathroom functional and pleasant but.. I guess the easiest way to put... More

This hotel is simply conveneint. No special amenities or attractions at the hotel but close to main attractions. Easy to get city transportation double decker bus right at the corner. Rooms are nice and spacious and the staff is very courtious . They make you feel you are at a 5 diamond hotel.

I've stayed at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville several times now, as it's the standard choice for my employer when we need to travel to Toronto. The staff (front desk, bellmen, room service, etc.) has always been very friendly, pleasant, and helpful; the rooms are clean and comfortable; and the fitness center has what I need for a good workout.... Have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years. This visit was in for extended time. Unfortunately did not realize that the restaurant and lobby were under construction before I booked. Front desk and restaurant were situated temporarily in a ballroom setting - not the best but also not a big deal. Anything they can do to renovate... More

Stayed here briefly for a business trip and it met my needs as it was exceptionally close and convenient to our office. All of the staff was incredibly friendly whether it was the woman checking me in at the front desk or other staff I passed in hallway/elevator. As a heads up, since the hotel is currently undergoing construction, you... More

The rooms are big, comfortable, coffee machine with daily fill. Bathroom as fair with very standard bathtub. The hotel is under renovation. This mean it is without neither real lobby nor restaurant. Room service without a fixed time, they will serve you when ever they like. No free internet in the rooms !!!!!!!!!! Poor business service with chargeable services. For... More

I have stayed here many times over the past couple years and the hotel remains top notch as a value. The club lounge is very nice with good selections. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the comforts you would expect from a Marriott. The service is good. This last stay, they are doing some reno on the garage... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
