Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We try very hard to keep our guests happy, and we are sorry that we fell short of that on your visit. This is a budget hotel so some amenities, such as coffee makers and hair dryers, are available on demand. I am sorry you do not like the city,... More

This was adequate for an o/n stay .The beds were comfy and a big plus the windows opened. The kitchen was very small but fine for a quick breakfast. It is near shops and eateries so very convenient 'tho the area looks a bit downtrodden. It was very quiet and there is ample parking .Staff were polite but not overly... More

As other reviews say, you have to keep in mind what this is - probably THE least expensive hotel in all of downtown. I ended up here because it was closest to my venue and all the expensive hotels were booked, so I gave it a go and it was fine. The manager is a very energetic and enthusiastic gentleman... More

I'd recommend the hotel to people who want a hotel that provides a central location, good communication pre-visit, friendly staff and a comfy bed. The hotel will never win awards for pretty appearance and its clearly not modern - but you can see that from the advertisements and this is reflected in the very competitive price. We went to Toronto... More

I stayed here for three nights in a twin room and considering the price of the stay, it wasn't too bad. To go downtown from the hotel is a 10-minute walk, so the location is oaky too. The thing that I wasn't quite happy about is that there aren't any restaurants or fast food near the hotel and the nearest... More

Thanks for the review. The hotel is located in a residential neighbourhood, so it is true there aren't restaurants right outside. But the Front Desk is always happy to help out hungry travelers, and there are many fine places to eat just a short walk away. More

This hotel isn't particularly nice, but it does the job. The staff is friendly and the room cleanup is good. The amenities are very limited, and the place is more of a collection of small studio apartments than an actual hotel. The location is good, though, especially if you want to have dinner in Chinatown. Some of the surrounding area... More

This place was disgusting. There were hair all over the place in the bathroom. The room smelled like it received its last cleaning months ago. The fridge in the room contained rotten food items that somebody left behind...

Myself and my two teenage children stayed here for three nights in mid August 2015. Everything we wanted to do was downtown and the Alexandra was a nice walk or quick streetcar ride. A taxi from Island airport was 8 dollars. We took in a Jays game and two theatre shows and had too many restaurants to choose from. The... More

Great hotel, affordable, convenient location. I would definitely stay here again. The location is great, and you are so close to the city centre that everything is walkable. I have brought friends and family here and would do so again very happy

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Toronto's main Chinatown has the honor of being the largest in North America. Gaping down across Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue, the area is a wonderful medley of shops and restaurants, busy signs and bright red gates, a destination for foodie fun. Chinatown's streets are always bustling, packed with people and outdoor stalls hawking fresh produce and products. The restaurants and authentic marketplaces that shoulder in against each other display shining roast ducks and menus studded with dumplings and noodle bowls. The air is pervaded with music. different languages, and the smell of fried food and mouth-watering desserts. Chinatown's restaurants represent a broad range of fare, from traditional Szechuan and Shanghai foods, to other Asian delicacies, including some of the top Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean spots in the city. Whether you're in the mood for a sit-down tea house or a bubble tea to go, Chinatown is the spot to enjoy an exciting walk and the promise of leaving satisfied.
