Let me start by saying that this hotel is great value for money for people who are travelling and I mean, not just staying in the hotel. If you want a basic stylish, clean and comfortable room with new decor this is for you. Its basically a studio flat! I traveled to Canada Toronto for the first time by myself... More

The room is lovely and great for my friend and I to stay in. The kitchen is handy and the fact we had a full fridge and freezer was awesome. Thing is, first day the iron broke (or was already broken?) and so we had to get that replaced, then the frame around the television (which doesn't work) came partially... More

When I arrived at this hotel at 8pm I thought I might go and look for a restaurant since there were none nearby during the cab ride. The receptionist said to me as I was leaving "you're not going out alone are you?" I said I was and she told me she would order me a cab that "it is... More

Upon check-in the bathroom had hair in the bathtub, the cup used for coffee was not cleaned properly and the garbage from the previous guest was still in the room. It was taken care of when l spoke to the front desk but would not stay at this hotel again.

Love this hotel, it's basic, but clean and comfy with modern amenities. Rooms and washrooms are recently updated and the little kitchen is nice. Also a good price for a downtown Toronto hotel. The neighbourhood is not the best but it's difficult to complain at the price.

Hmm..this is a tough one. I really think long and hard about price vs. value when rating a hotel. I guess as others have noted, this is in downtown Toronto, so prices can be a bit steeper. Also, I booked last minute, as in a day before, and it looks like I paid more to do that (but shouldn't it... More

Well after traveling around NY and staying in different hotels to get to toronto, we were surprised with this last hotel. Not up to par with the others we stayed. The renderings and pics of the rooms were close to real what it doesnt tell is what is outside. Believe me the contractor did a really great job indoors. Its... More

Awesome location if your going to the theatres. You can walk to many great restaurants and most everything else is just a short cab ride away. There is no restaurant or coffee shop at the hotel but you can walk to many in the immediate area. Lots of parking and very reasonably priced for Toronto.

As has been noted in other reviews, this should be rated higher than 1 star. I would have given a higher rating if the lobby and reception matched the rooms. My room gad a beautiful view of the CN Tower. (I would have taken a photo but the screen was too dirty) The room was small for all that it... More

Not the most impressive looking but a nice, clean place nevertheless, within walking distance to the CN tower, Chinatown, etc... . Clean and very comfortable size queen bed, slept great! Has a kitchen nett and a large fridge. A block away from Queen street where there's shopping and small places to get a quick bite and a quick walk in... More

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Toronto's main Chinatown has the honor of being the largest in North America. Gaping down across Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue, the area is a wonderful medley of shops and restaurants, busy signs and bright red gates, a destination for foodie fun. Chinatown's streets are always bustling, packed with people and outdoor stalls hawking fresh produce and products. The restaurants and authentic marketplaces that shoulder in against each other display shining roast ducks and menus studded with dumplings and noodle bowls. The air is pervaded with music. different languages, and the smell of fried food and mouth-watering desserts. Chinatown's restaurants represent a broad range of fare, from traditional Szechuan and Shanghai foods, to other Asian delicacies, including some of the top Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean spots in the city. Whether you're in the mood for a sit-down tea house or a bubble tea to go, Chinatown is the spot to enjoy an exciting walk and the promise of leaving satisfied.
