It is an excellent hotel few block from the downtown and Eaton Centre. Breakfast is included in the price as well as the free wifi. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a jacuzzi on the top of the building wherefrom you can havea wonderfull view on the city (and partly on the CN Tower as... More

Headed into Toronto to have a 30th birthday celebration with my partner. Actually we booked this room via Travelocity in one of their "secret hotel" options. It turned out to be wonderful. The rooms were a great size and super clean. There is a huge king size bed in the room with an additional pull out bed in the "living... More

We discovered this hotel by chance in 2009 and have always returned to it when we visit Toronto. The suites are comfortable and have everything you need. In the earlier years, as some of the reviews noted there were minor issues with the check in etc, but these seem to have been resolved. Our last stay was August 2011 and... More

The Grand, skillfully retrofitted from an office building, has some lovely touches and upscale appointments, but in spite of inviting public spaces, falls short of grandeur, by dint of its location in a bad neighborhood (albeit close to the Eaton Centre shopping and nightlife), and an occasionally indifferent approach to service. Staff are generally professional, but generally seem less than... More

We stayed here for Easter weekend with our three kids ages 3-7, in the 2 bedroom suite. The location is not in walking distance to major attractions if you have kids, but walking on my own it was only about a 10 to 15 minute walk to Yonge Street. The hotel is generally clean - love the fact that the... More

Stayed at the Grand this week for 2 nights. Clean, nice hotel. Lots of variety at breakfast. The staff were so pleasant and helpful, including the front desk staff as well as the bell hops!

The location may not be walking distance from the major downtown attractions Toronto has to offer, but the room I stayed in was big, bright, clean, and comfortable. I loved the dark hardwood floors, the bright white linens, and the kitchen area. I was very pleased. My only complaint would be the ladies working at the front desk, who were... More

Grand Hotel, Toronto ON Canada used to be a highlight of a trip to that city. The rooms were spacious, clean, had cooking facilities and a window that opens. Alas time seems to be taking more than the usual toll on this "grand old lady". No cooking facilites ( the very reason we booked five days) very tired lobby and... More

Stayed Saturday night at this hotel. What a great experience. First contact was with the very friendly concierge and then into the main lobby which is beautiful. Friendly staff at the front desk as well as any employees we met in the elevators or hallways. The always inquired about our stay. About 15 or 20 minutes after getting into our... More

Stayed for two nights for a workshop at the hotel. The rooms were great and the staff was very nice. My room had two flat-screen TVs, a kitchenette, dining/living area and bathroom in addition to the bedroom. Very spacious for just one person. Very clean as well. My only issue was that the meeting room where we held our workshop... More
