5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This hotel is like most standard downtown hotels and provides everything you need. The pool and whirlpool are great and everything is kept extremely clean. The roof top terrace is an extra that most hotels don’t have and gives good views of the city (we didn’t get to use the whirlpools on the roof). The breakfasts were buffet style with... More

Stayed 7 nights at this hotel at the end of September and beginning of October 2014. Enjoyed every minute at this hotel. Staff was fantastic. So helful and nice. The room was spacious and well equipped. Housekeeping did an amazing job and everything was clean. Every morning you got a newspaper outside your door. Nice! The indoor pool was great.... More

This was a fantastic hotel that me and a friend stayed in for just shy of a week. First of all, it lives up to its name, being a very grand hotel indeed! The check in lady was extremely helpful, giving us a map and highlighting all the good spots to see. Our room was good with a microwave, and... More

My boyfriend and myself really enjoyed our stay. People at the desk and doors were extremely nice and helpful. Rooms were very nice. The little living room off the side of the bedroom area very nice. Little kitchen area with microwave and fridge/freezer was also very appreciated. Only small issue with the room, there wasn't enough room for a night... More

We've stayed at this hotel so far 4 times and each time was a real pleasure. The service is always great, very friendly personnel and we loved the jacuzzi room and the loft rooms especially! Both rooms had a nice kitchenette and especially the loft room had a spacious sitting area. Also the whirlpool on the roof was a nice... More

We had a very nice stay at the Grand. We were in a King suite. It has a sitting area with a sofa bed and TV and then another area with a King size bed and another TV. Between the two areas is a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker. The bathroom is very small. It... More

Enjoyed our visit overall however the room was very small upon check in. Our air would not cool off room but they moved us and it was better. Breakfast was complimentary and very nice indeed. Delicious coffee and good variety of food. Staff was five star overall. Rooftop lounge chairs and a fantastic view along with large screen music videos... More

Some of the reviews about the location of the hotel had us a little worried prior to our stay. But after staying at the hotel I do not think it is as bad as people say. As long as you use common sense you will be fine. Hotel is close to many sites and overall has great service, is clean... More

The Grand Hotel was a great choice for our trip to Toronto. Marie and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay. Our jacuzzi suite room was very spacious with a kitchen. The staff offers a free shuttle service downtown, which is about a 10 minute drive depending on traffic to the CN... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
