The most wonderfully concealed Toronto hotel is situated right in the heart of The upscale district. However, when we entered, we felt like we were home...very unpretentious staff and everyone was there to ensure a well and happy stay, not to tip gouge (although it was most appreciated by the staff) From the moment we walked in we were taken... I have been staying at this wonderful hotel on several visits to Toronto. I think my first stay here was in 2003. I love the feeling of home that is inherent with every suite in a different layout but always well appointed. The welcome on arrival is professional and pleasant — attentive. The rooms have all been renovated this past... More

I've stayed at the Windsor Arms many times with my husband, my daughter and with extended family. On this occasion, my daughter and I decided to spend the weekend downtown. As always, the Windsor Arms offered impeccable and friendly service from the doorman to the front desk staff to the restaurant and bar staff. Comfortable beds, chic decor, cool bar.... More

I recently stayed in a suite at the Windsor Arms Hotel, which is the most comfortable and luxuriously understated hotel room I have ever stayed in. Everything worked beautifully -- the jacuzzi, the sound system, the wireless internet, and the staff were attentive. I love the "Russian Tea Room" -- red walls, gilt framed photographs of Nicholas II and his... More

Stayed at the Windsor Arms over the weekend and right from the first experience with the doorman and valet parking; we knew this hotel would be perfect. The check-in was very quick and we were on our way to our room in under 5 minutes. The ambionce of this hotel is very special. Everything was very clean and well maintained.... More

We had the opportunity to stay at Windsor Arms for 3 nights as we were in town visiting family and friends. It was great from the very start. Greeted at the Front Desk by a knowledgeable concierge who got us checked in within seconds as the Hotel Butler waited to take me up to my suite. I booked one of... More

High tea at the windsor arms is fantastic. Only $35 and worth every penny. A great place for a wedding too. And beautiful quiet spa.

Having practically "lived" in hotels during my business career, I can assure you that you will enjoy the Windsor Arms. You can always tell from the attitude of the first staff you meet, from the Doorman to Reception. I stayed there over 40 years ago and many times since, and have never been disappointed. My standards, I admit, are high....I... More

We visited this lovely hotel for the first time, to celebrate our anniversary. We were upgraded to a lovely suite and had a personal butler, who instructed us on how to use all the wonderful amenities. We were presented with a lovely fruit tray and chocolates. The king bed was so comfortable! The hotel itself is very elegant-a throw back... More

As a business traveler, I spend many nights a year in hotels, and the Windsor Arms in Toronto has to be one of the best. From the second you walk in, you feel like you're in a place that truly cares and will look after every one of your needs, and they really do. The suite I was given was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
