The staff was great as are the locals of Toronto but the hotel facilities were poor. The mattresses needed to be changed as there was a huge depression in the center. For some reason we got a stiff neck because of our body position from this crater. The room needs a little upgrading. On the good side, the room was... More

Ended up staying here because my regular hotel in the city was sold out. Great location, friendly staff and very comfortable beds. The Yorkville area is very nice with lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. Hotel is located across the street from the subway which made for easy access to the business district.

This place maintains the not-quite-budget standards of the Holiday Inn chain. Neat. Pleasant folks. No surprises - which is usually a good thing. Very convenient to the U of Toronto and the Royal Ontario Museum.

The pictures look far better than it actually is. Used a hotel deal booking site, thought I was getting a deal on a nice room, but in the end I feel like I overpaid. It was clean, the parking was convenient, bed and washroom also good. Location is great for heading anywhere in the city

Being an IHG gold member, I have stayed at many, many IHG properties. This one was the a huge disappointment. The location is downtown and okay, but the hotel is dirty and smelly! The rumpled rugs in the hallways should have been my first clue, but I was even more shocked and disgusted to discover a bathtub that was dirty,... More

Hotel location is great, you have Royal Ontario Museum, shops, and various restaurants within walking distance. Stayed here twice, one in summer and one in winter. Summer stay is not so bad, winter though is a bit tough. The small room is difficult to heat up despite the heating fan working at highest speed with horrible noise. I sleep with... More

Booked a reservation to stay at the hotel horrible and dirty, the lobby reeked like smoke. I have never been to Holiday inn that was that dirty reeked of cigarette smoke, uncaring front desk or staff. No one cared, I arrived tired from the airport and had to walk to over to stay in the another hotel nearby with heavy... More

If you want basic, clean, and a good price, this is it! The hotel is situated in a great location. You can walk to many different stores and restaurants. They don't have good toiletries, so I suggest bringing the ones you love along with you (or buy some from the L'Occitane up the block). Also, bring shower shoes. I had... More

Value for money mainly based on the hotel location. Rooms are decent with enough space and clean. Nothing fancy but defientely on the high end of a three star hotel. Would defientely stay there again on my next trip to Toronto.

Comfy hotel with great staff and a convenient location. Rooms are in decent shape but I found the beds to be very hard and uncomfortable. Nice linens and the usual amenities. For its location it's worth it. Built in bar and pouting shop attached to the lobby convenient, and onsite parking helps a lot ($22/night is a good price).

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
