In downtown Toronto, nice Hotel to stay, food is good, not many options for vegetarians, but Non-veg lovers will love it. Staff & services are good. Rooms are clean, AC & Heaters are good. Everything is at walking distance from this Hotel.

I was impressed with this hotel. We got a good room and all the staff were very friendly. When walking back to the hotel at night, we discovered it may not be in the best of areas-it seemed there was a little gang activity going on a few blocks away. Other than this minor setback, I was very happy with this... More

This hotel is at the most a two star hotel. The location was adequate. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was respectable. The sheets were clean. On the other hand, this hotel is run down and in serious need for an update. At the very least, it is in need of a major cleaning. Every corner of the hotel... More

The hotel is right in the middle of everything . We parked our car in their underground lot and forgot about it for three days. Walked to the theatre ,RogersCentre,CN Tower,Lawrence St. Farmers Market,Eaton Centre, restaurants,Toronto Jazz Festival and much more all within an easy twenty minute walk or less. The room was clean but a little run down with the... More

Location is ideal, close to the free ways, Eaton Shopping Centre, Lawrence Marketplace and many restaurants all within 15 mins walk. Our pillow and beds were comfortable and the room was up to the Holiday Inn standards. Unfortunately, our air conditioning didn't work properly, unable to cool the room. Although Wifi was for free, the signal was weak and very... More

In a good location, near to the main streets and the path, the underground shoping. Parking available, but is charged. Good breakfast and nice room. Also near to the St Lawrence Market and some nice bars and restaurants.

Well situated hotel 15 minute walk from main train station. As you would expect express breakfast is included. For my family this is excellent. Yes it can be a little busy as can the elevators but....change your time, there is plenty of time allocated for breakfast and the 3 elevators are not always busy. Well appointed quiet room. Very efficient... More

Not sure what brand this property was before being a Holiday Inn Express, but IMO it's not a HIEx level property. My room was old and tired, not that well appointed and not very clean. The hotel is relatively central located with walking distance options for food an drink. 10 minute wait for the elevator when checking out... not good.... More

The room was clean enough, but could use a little updating. It was a good location to the arena, which is all we were in Toronto for -- about a 15 minute walk. Good breakfast and reasonably priced parking (I think $20/night). I left some relatively expensive jewelry in the room and the maids found it and mailed it back... More

The hotel is located just off a main road hence easy to find. It has a the amenities of a 4 Star hotel plus. It has express breakfast included. One anomaly was that all Holiday Inn Express hotels do not have a bar nor sell Alcohol. Anyway, there are many restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
