Had the opportunity to spend five nights at the Novotel last week which included a five day exposure to their catering menu. Food was better than I was expecting. The hot dishes catered for our meetings were fresh, hot and tasty. During breaks, they really went all out to vary the snack foods - from delicious chocolate squares and muffins... More

This hotel is perfectly situated close to the Air Canada Centre, Railway Station, Hockey Hall of Fame, CN Tower etc. Like many other guests I was there to watch sports. The first disappointment was the lack of sports channels on TV. The rooms are otherwise OK but nothing fantastic. Beds are like the rooms, good but not excellent. Breakfast is... More

We stayed for one night. Chose this hotel due to it's location to the Sony Centre. Very convenient. Check-in was quick - desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Room was great. Some things might need a bit of an update, but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The construction noise at 7 a.m. was a bit... More

In a number of ways this is not a bad hotel: the location is good (close to the train/subway station and shops), rooms are a good size and staff were generally quite friendly. Overall, however, it just isn't what I expect from a Novotel: it simply isn't quite up to scratch. The bathroom in particular is a big let-down. I... More

Hotels get blamed for things over which they have no control. Guests aren't required to watch a video instructing them on how to behave in a hotel, although they should. So the various idiotic couples who thought it was perfectly fine to conduct a hall party on the sixth floor at 2 AM is clearly not the fault of the... More

The Ritz Carlton it is not but this hotel is perfect for a city break. It is close to everything and has good bars and restaurants close by. The staff are helpful and friendly. Cafe Nicole is a nice bar/restaurant too. The rooms are spacious and comfy with everything you need. Housekeeping was good and left extra towels when requested.... More

Awesome location! 3 blocks to Air Canada Centre! Lots of fun bars n restaurants! Pretty nice beds. Comfy rooms! Wish they had somewhere to plug in my phone next to my bed... Is it just me or should that be required? Found an outlet under the bed close to me. Great spot in Toronto! Good fun location!!!

Have used Novotels all around the globe and this is the most disappointing. As previous comments below, place is tired, needs updating and dim. Location is good. Nobody to help with luggage and they give you paper cups for your coffee machine in the room. Housekeeping didn't change the plastic glasses in the bathroom after our first nights stay. We... More

The title pretty much says it all. The hotel was in a construction zone when I visited but it was quiet inside. Location is really good. Just at the base of younger st and a stone's throw from the st Lawrence market. The union subway is also very close. I walked almost everywhere including the cn tower and the ago... More

Although Novotel is in a great location and is clean, the entire Esplanade is under construction. Staying during the week will prove difficult to sleep in. Also, we had mysterious phone calls to our room at all hours of the night/early morning. When we checked out, our room was charged for phone calls that were never made or answered. The... More
