The hotel has a perfect location if you are visiting Toronto. It is right in the heart of Toronto. We attended a wedding on the Distillery District, just a short taxi ride from the hotel. The rooms were OK, but a little dated. Even though this is a busy hotel in a busy district, I was amazed at just how... More

I stayed here with my girls when we went to a concert at the Sony Centre in Toronto. The location was perfect - close to the centre and right across from The Old Spaghetti Factory!! The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The pool was warm and clean! We got a package with breakfast, which was absolutely awesome! Lots to... More

The hotel has a great location if you are spending a night or two in down town Toronto. Price was okay and the room was clean. I will easily go back when I am attending a game or concert. 10 min walk from Rogers centre and ACC building. TTC right at your hands as well as union station.

Stayed here bc we were attending a concert at the ACC, so this was a great location. Check in was smooth, room was nice. There was nothing outstanding about this hotel to warrant the $270 we paid for one night.

My husband, 12 year granddaughter and I had a booking for the night of August 23, to take our granddaughter to a concert. We had requested a room with two beds and an early check-in, if possible, to get ready in time for the concert as we had to be there by 5pm and our granddaughter is disabled so we... More

Dear Elizabeth, I am sorry to hear that your experience during check-in was our high standards. As we are a very busy downtown location, sometimes our guests leave a bit later than usual which in turns delays the room attendants cleaning the rooms for arriving guests. I would once again like to apologize for the inconvenience you had to face... More

You can drive from highways almost directly into this Novotel located at southern end of Toronto Center, very close to CN Tower and Rogers Center (for Blue Jays fans...). Inside you have usual rooms for Novotel, with also fitness center which like always is difficult to rightsize: mostly empty but when you want to go it can be filled up... More

Stayed 3 nights last weekend. Conveniently located to St. Lawrence Market area and walking distance to Yonge, Rogers Centre, theatre district, even Kensington Market. Face it, Toronto is a walking city. We had a King room that was fresh, clean and modern. One of our favourite places to stay.

Great price, good location. Stayed in the king bed suite and it was nice. Easy check in. Parking lot next door. Close to tons of restaurants, St Lawrence Marketplace, lake shore, Union station, etc. Make sure to walk one block north and see the old church and Flatiron building.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
