This was our second stay at this funky little hotel. The location could not be better, right near the U of T campus, just a few blocks to the Royal Ontario Museum and close to The Annex. If one is looking for modern luxury you won't find it here, but if you want a quaint, clean, funky room at a... More

I have graced the Maddy pub more times than I care to count with friends from university - specifically because of the piano player on certain nights of the week. When my parents came to visit me, they had no idea which hotel to choose - a long term stay meant that a 5* hotel wasn't worth it, and ended... More

This quirky hotel/pub was comfortable and reasonably clean for the price. The location was ideal - right at the Spadina Ave subway stop on the Bloor line. Since it is a converted Victorian style home there are stairs so be sure to find out what floor your room is on if this is an issue. I was on the third... More

We enjoyed our time at this hotel. The decorations and style of the hotel gave it such a warm homey feeling, it is unlike any hotel. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were comfortable and quaint although on the small side. The hotel is a part of a pub which becomes very lively at night... More

I have stayed at this charming boutique hotel half a dozen times over the years and have recommended it to others. Never again! My room (407) was ridiculously cold last Saturday night and, short of throwing a spare blanket on the bed, there was no way to warm it up. Consequently, I got little sleep. I've often wondered whether I'd... More

Dear Guest: Thank you for taking the time to write. I am sorry that your stay was not as you had enjoyed with us in the past. The unusual cold weather we experienced caused some issues in our B&B including heat problems and frozen pipes. Although we do everything we can in our 23 Bedroom B&B. this extreme cold weather... Stayed here for 7 nights while attending a conference in July 2014. Had a big double room with comfortable king size bed. The room was cleaned every day. The Manor is very close to the subway station if you exit through the back door entrance. It is also close to the University campus and the very crowded by pubs, restaurants... More

Stayed here for 2 nights for my birthday. The parking was a bit confusing, but the front desk was helpful in solving the problem. It's a beautiful hotel, but unfortunately it's situated next to a frat house. So be cautious when booking during the school year.

If you are looking for a quaint boutique hotel right in the heart of Toronto this is a good place to stay. Location: close to the U of T, the Royal Ontario Museum and the Annex. Our room was small, but had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The price for a downtown place was reasonable.... More

Dear Guests: Thank you for your review. Our Madison Manor is an old Fashioned Victorian 23 Bedroom B&B. Our name was established over 14 years ago before the name “Boutique” started to change to mean something else. We are a very large B&B and 14 years ago the average B&B was about 3 to 14 rooms. If your looking for a corporate hotel, this isn't it. If you arrive after 9, you will have to hunt down a manager in the bar to check in. Once you do you get a unique room, clean, well kept and comfy. Parking is the only issue. You have to book a spot when you reserve your room as they... More

We stayed here in mid September 2014 - the pictures are misleading - it is very small. The hallways are narrow and jagged, lots of stairs - beware if you have mobility issues - not the place for you. Room was clean, but small. Staff weren't overly helpful, or friendly. The desk is only open during certain hours. An item... More
