We stayed here for the Indy weekend in June 2015. It was a very lovely room with a very comfortable bed. We stayed in one of their suits which had lots of room and a gas fireplace. This would be great for a weekend romantic get away in the Winter.

very good value for your money. The breakfast is sufficient but not extensive. The adjoining pub serves great food at reasonable prices - especially with the $12 coupon you get upon checking in. Walking distance to shopping and museums. 30 second walk to the Spadina subway station.

I had a room overlooking the eponymous bar's roofdeck patio. It was a Sunday night, so I was lucky there was not a big crowd so I was not inconvenienced by partying customers. I had to open the window because the air conditioning didn't work. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom basic but a big shower stall. I didn't... More

Having stayed at the Hyatt for business I moved to the Madison Manor for two day vacation. Comparing the two the Madison is best value. The room was large and had a breakfast bar, 2 sofas, 2 wardrobes and a large shower. It was close to Spadina station so has excellent links across the city and downtown. It is located... More

I had no problems during my (midweek) stay. Room was nice and cool, there was bottled water in the room, both greatly appreciated. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was a small selection of ambient bagels and muffins. There was bread, a toaster and coffee. A selection of cereal was available also. I was given a coupon for the associated pub down... I was in Toronto for a short visit and pretty much needed just a roof over my head at night. Madison Manor was clean, well-appointed and met my every expectation. Maybe they could have another look at describing their continental breakfast; coffee and muffins and some fruit were all good, but I really didn't see the "expansive" part in the... More

We were looking for a good place to stay near the Bloor subway line in Toronto. So glad we found Madison Manor Boutique Hotel. Much more reasonably priced than the downtown chain hotels, mere steps away from the Spadina station on the Bloor line. Beautiful old building. Our room was adequately sized and immaculate. Quiet despite the Madison Pub next... More

I liked the hotel room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, very clean and quiet even considering the heaving pub next door and frat house on the other side .Didn't use the tv ( I wasn't in Toronto to watch tv) , wifi not great, breakfast could be improved as could the sticky morning-after pub room it's served in. Must be very cosy in... More

Close by U of T main campus and the ROM. Stayed in suite 201, with fireplace that wasn't all that warm, but fine for early June. Bed pillows were not firm even with two piled together, room looked antiquated and TV reception was poor. That said, there were lots of comfy chairs and the street was dead quiet at night.... More

I was impressed at first. Nice street with old frat houses very near Bloor street and the U of Toronto campus which I had to visit on business. I wanted to like it. However it is lacking in many important ways. The bed is not good, old matress and uncomfortable. TV is old and has fuzzy channels, internet is HORRIBLE... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
