Thenhotel seemed fine. Convenient location. Rooms were a bit variable. Bathroom was serviceable, but needed an upgrade. Bed was way too soft. I am sure at this price there are better options.

First, of all, this is a gorgeous historic hotel. Our room was tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see in the one afternoon - the waterfront, the markets, the CN tower, and the ballpark. We opted for a club room which entitled us to use of the free internet... More

Friendly staff, really enjoyed the room and location in the financial district-easy to walk, get a cab or subway. Great bed, linens and towels. There is construction on neighboring building but the noise didn't start till 9 and wasn't too bad. My room was very nice. There was no view from the room I was in. They were unable to... More

With one day to explore Toronto, doorman Chris was an absolute lifesaver. He guided us to an awesome farmers market then gave us a rave review of the hockey hall of fame. The hotel itself was very clean with traditional decor- overall worth the stay.

Charged me for "incidentals" on my credit card. Hotel was pre paid and when I got home found out that the hotel charged me $150 for "incidentals", just in case there were extra charges on my room..which there were not. i contacted hotal who said this charge would be coming off my card within the week. charged for incidentals, just... Dear Anthony, I apologize if this incident ruined what would have been a pleasant vacation. The amount was an authorization that was held on the room which is part of the standard procedure for all guests upon check in. This hold is released 72 hours after check out but your account would not have been charged. I am sorry if... More

My special king room was very nice with high ceilings, lots of space, a marble bathroom, clean linens, and a great bed. The location is also excellent. It is in a financial part of downtown, so it is safe and, on the weekend, quiet, but also close to fun things. The valet told me where to park half a block... More

Since the early 1980s, the King Eddie (properly "Le Meridien King Edward" on King Street East one block from Yonge, but no Torontonian has ever called it that) has been my regular kip on my frequent trips to one of my favourite metropolises. To be blunt, under Meridien's umbrella it has slipped a bit since it was the independent upscale... More

Currently Staying at the property, and am pleasantly surprised of all aspects (aside from the fitness center). The service is great, the room is clean, very quiet, and very comfortable. The food in the bar is quite good, and I love the highback chairs in there. The fitness center was recently renovated, however there doesn't seem to have been much... More

Dear CameronPike, Thank you for sharing with us your thoughts about your most recent visit to our hotel. Actually, our fitness centre is yet to undergo renovation. Construction should commence in the very near future that will consist of change in layout and upgrade of the equipment. I then invite you to experience the new and enhanced features of the... More

This old property has kept the style and attention to service of the older Meridiens; thank goodness it hasn't tried to "modernise" with the trendy lighting, canned muzak, and "W" imitation of so many Meridiens (e.g. Montreal and Picadilly, London). The rooms are comfortably large, the common parts are discreet and well-maintained, the reception sevice and attitude is friendly and... More

I have been staying in the 'King Eddy' since January every week for business and greatly enjoy the experience. Everything from the Architecture of the hotel to the friendliness of the staff I have enjoyed.
