My wife and I stayed here in March (which by the way was FREEZING!). I had booked this hotel as part of a last minute package and didn't read the reviews on this site until way after I had paid; so was a little worried when I did! Have to say though that this hotel was really very good. OK,... more
I recently stayed at Comfort hotel downtown with my girlfriend and her parents. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Air conditioning was perfect. The hotel is renovated and the corridors are bright. The location is very convenient and the good thing, it is not expensive. The new teppenyaki Restaurant serves good food and the decor is great .The staff... more
Yes, it is cheap but you get what you pay for. I was on the second floor and you could hear the subway every five minutes. In addition, there is a construction site behind the hotel, so every morning at around six o'clock, trucks are lined up and you hear bip bip bip so truck are backing up in the... more
I stayed at the Comfort Hotel Downtown for 2 days and couldn't wait to leave! I was put in a room next to the elevator. You could hear the doors opening and closing everytime! The room (Non-smoking) smelled like stale cigars and mold. The bathroom was very small and dirty. Next to the toilet was what looked like years of... more
For those looking for basic lodging during the Toronto International Film Festival (early Sept. of each year), this is the place to stay, particularly if you plan to spend only minutes of waking time each day in your hotel room during your visit to Toronto. I've stayed here for a week or so at a time during each of three... more

On arrival we were given a smoking room despite having reserved nonsmoking. The clerk sincerely apologized, but they had no nonsmoking rooms available. To compensate us for that, he gave us the rollaway... more
When I saw my room first I couldn't believe it. I never had so much space for only ca. 70 EUR per night. I stayed there three nights alone and then my family joined me for another three nights and still we had enough space. The hotel has been renovated early in 2003, so some of the older complaints might... more
I stayed for four nights at the Comfort Hotel. The first night we were on the 10th (top) floor and they stuck us next to the elevator...my bed felt every move the elevator made. We requested another room which we were given rather easily. The "new" room was not much nice, but it was away from the elevator. The continental... more
The pictures on the website are somewhat deceiving. When we arrived, we wondered if we had the right place..not the nicest location. The rooms were just OK. We had a room with 2 double beds, one mattress was bellied. The bathroom had signs of mildew aroung the sink & shower and the finish was chipped on the tub. Another couple... more
