Was here for a work conference for 3 nights from February 2-5, 2016. Myself and coworker booked here at the Cambridge, and our other coworkers booked at One King West. We decided to check out our co-workers' rooms in comparison to ours, and even though they had suites (meaning stove, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge) my verdict was that the lobby... More

We stayed at the Cambridge Suites for two nights while on a winter vacation in Toronto. It was in a great location for walking around downtown, and we appreciated the underground parking although there was a $27.00 per day charge for parking. Our room was spacious with a king-sized bed, which was extremely comfortable. The little kitchenette enabled us to... More

I stayed here on the weekend for my birthday. I had people up to the hotel room to have a few drinks before the bar. My friend also booked a room right beside us. They put our rooms in a somewhat private area that had one separate door off of the hall, outside just our two rooms. We explained that... More

I used to stay here when hotel was relatively new and upscale several years ago. At the time I was working on a large contract in Toronto and spent several weeks at this property over several months. I needed a suite last year for 1 night so I booked this hotel and was surprised to see the same furniture and... More

Stayed here on business January 2016 for 4 nights. - Great Location - Quiet Rooms - Excellent Room Size and Functionality - Friendly Staff - Excellent Value for money - Comfortable Bed Yes they are undergoing a renovation and I could tell my room was starting to look slightly worn (i.e. carpets, wallpaper), but its not at all an issue... I often visit Toronto and know the city well. This was my first stay at this property and will not be the last. Location is outstanding and accommodation was very good and all the staff were friendly and professional. Room size was generous as was adjoining sitting room with pullout couch, fridge, microwave and sink. I did three overnights and... More

This hotel provides large suites including desk, couch, chairs, small kitchen area plus a separate room with two beds, and a decent size bathroom. The location is very good - within walking distance of great restaurants in downtown Toronto. My only complaint was that the bed was too hard! ( I sound like Goldilocks). If you like soft beds I... My partner and i stayed in one of the suites as i got a good deal on lastminute.com. and let me tell you the room was very spacious. You could easily sleep another person on the lounge and there are doors that close off, for that personal space. We used the laundry room downstairs which was great. Location - very... More

Cambridge suites offered me the worst experience of my life. I have been to numerous establishments however the customer service provided my staff was utterly disgusting. The manager especially Herman was beyond disrespectful to myself and my friend and has no care for the personal belonging of guests. Upon check in they do not fully explain all rules and regulations... More

We had a nice little stay in this hotel the location was great & it offered everything we needed. The rooms however are a bit run down & are in need of some work. The pictures shown are a bit misleading probably taken a few years ago now. Staff were very friendly & helped us out with some cool places... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
