Ok, when we first got there it was fine, average looking hotel, nice looking room...But then it started going downhill! this hotel is underrated. i've stayed here one week for business in sept. i have many good things to say; the rooms are clean and large, decent size bathroom, fridge and coffee maker, nice pool, good location, good restaurants around, friendly staff etc etc. the bad parts were: noise from the a/c outside the room, somewhere on the lower level... more

Had to stay here for 1 night for a conference booked by my office. Bed was like sleeping on a rock, room was run down, the wind howled through the windows, the bellman was the rudest individual in the world. The only plus was the nice front desk attendants. Stay somewhere else if possible! more

Having lived in this area of Toronto from 1979 to 1989 I can honestly say that this is the best kept secret in the city. I picked this hotel for its location - I have family who live in the neighborhood. Since my last stay there, about a year ago, the hallways have been renovated. Strangely, the rooms have not: peeling wallpaper, tiles in the bathroom pulling away from the wall, chipped and scarred furniture. While the room was clean overall, it reeked of smoke... more
