Ok, when we first got there it was fine, average looking hotel, nice looking room...But then it started going downhill! They could never provide for anything we asked for at the front desk, even though they claimed to have it in their Best Western Welcome booklet...the bed had a huge dip in the middle, it was the most uncomfortable bed... more
this hotel is underrated. i've stayed here one week for business in sept. i have many good things to say; the rooms are clean and large, decent size bathroom, fridge and coffee maker, nice pool, good location, good restaurants around, friendly staff etc etc. the bad parts were: noise from the a/c outside the room, somewhere on the lower level... more
I styed with my family for 5 nights in July 2007. Excellent room - small, but with a lot of furniture in it. Practically no street noise. Very fine outdoor pool with bathrooms connected to it. Of course, no grass lawn at the pool, being a city hotel. Rather peculiar restaurant which did not advertise much, but many restaurants in... more
Had to stay here for 1 night for a conference booked by my office. Bed was like sleeping on a rock, room was run down, the wind howled through the windows, the bellman was the rudest individual in the world. The only plus was the nice front desk attendants. Stay somewhere else if possible! more
Having lived in this area of Toronto from 1979 to 1989 I can honestly say that this is the best kept secret in the city. The hotel is located in an upper-middle class area that during the 1980's was the Yuppy Capital of Canada. Fortunately, when I returned in September for the Film Festival, all of the negative things associated... more
Stayed at here for three nights in September 2004 and are planning on going back at the end of April. I honestly cannot understand where the negative reviews are coming from. We arrived late at the hotel and the staff was super about getting us checked into our room quickly. I loved the rooms, we had a huge king sized... more
I'm not sure why people complained here. I had an excellent time at this hotel. The room was clean, and great... parking was great. I was on a business trip and had my laptop w/ wireless card ... and the *free* high speed internet access was amazingly fast. I would highly recommend it. It was pretty close too all the... more
I picked this hotel for its location - I have family who live in the neighborhood. Since my last stay there, about a year ago, the hallways have been renovated. Strangely, the rooms have not: peeling wallpaper, tiles in the bathroom pulling away from the wall, chipped and scarred furniture. While the room was clean overall, it reeked of smoke... more
After giving up on downtown hotels (due to price or funky locations), we settled on this Best Western. To our surprise, the location is outstanding. You are within walking distance (or a short bus ride) to many interesting and affordable restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. The neighborhood is bustling with young professionals and hip singles along with enough... more
