5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We arrived after a long drive and were tired and cranky. Too few people to check us in and too many waiting that I suggested they contact more staff to help, which they did and thanks to the Concierge we got checked in, but it took a long time. When signing up for the wifi I was asked to fill... More

Stayed just briefly here and the hotel is pleasantly functional. We had a good view of the CN Tower and sky dome which were just around the corner. Local bus tours of Toronto more or less outside. If Blue Jays at home worth getting tickets $26 it was a good evening. Cheaper quality food available nearby. Worth giving it a... More

The hotel is just one block to Union Station and one block to the CN Tower, which make it great. You can get in the train to Union Station in 25 minutes and you are just steps from the hotel. The rooms are ok, internet worked good. The restaurant in the other side has to be take care off. The... More

Service, accommodation and upgrades were fantastic. Front desk staff was very accommodating. Well trained and friendly. The view over looking Lake Ontario was spectacular. Can't wait to get back there again soon!

Absolutely fantastic hotel nicely located to all tourist areas. Great hotel staff, very friendly and hospitable. The hop on and hop off bus is 2 mins from hotel. Most tourist spots are good walking distances. Lots of restaurants around hotel.

Nice and typical intercontinental hotel. Rooms will need an upgrade in due course, but overall well maintained. People go out of their way to serve and are very nice. Best part is the AC - which in contrast to other hotels - is very discrete and does not bother. Overall, good stay.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
