If you are in town to party, this is a good location to go around, near all the bars and the clubs, and the foods that you eat after it. I would recommend staying in a higher floor since the street noise can be a little tricky, for light sleepers. I exchanged mine and was better.

The location of this hotel is fabulous, close to CN tower, lots of restaurants, and theatre. In the summer the small rooftop pool is a fun place to cool off. The room is functional and modern but lacks ambience. Staff were friendly. The wifi is annoying for a long stay as you have to repeatedly ask for codes and log... More

We couldn't believe we got a room here during the Pan Am games and the RBC golf tournament but not only did we get a room, it was a beautiful two room suite with a view of the CN Tower. Everything about it was perfect. The front desk staff was attentive, helpful and cheerful. We appreciated every interaction with them.... More

This was our first visit to the Hyatt and we were delighted. The check in was smooth, the staff was conscientious and the room was ideal. What I can't get over is that, upon returning to our room after a few hours strolling the downtown, the staff had left us a surprise. My wife and I were celebrating a milestone... More

Stayed for a weekend, perfect location, perfect service, beautiful hotel, you wont be disappointed. Was wonderful from when we drove in to the parking garage to when we left. We did not want to leave, felt so comfortable staying, I must say we were very impressed.

It was only a couple of services, but the staff at the Hyatt pay attention to you when you check in. The evening manager noticed my wife and I had our children with us, and with a huge wedding, bachelor party, and the Pan-Am games going on, took the initiative and gave us a free room upgrade to keep us... Out for a theater overnight theater outing. Choose Hyatt due to convenience of location near theater. Price was right and was very happy with overall room, service and breakfast. With business package premium internet, US calling and breakfast was included, saved some money with the package.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
