My mom, sister, and I rented a room that the hotel confirmed would sleep three adults. Apparently - as we found out when we showed up - it only sleeps three if you request a roll-away bed for an additional charge. And the hotel didn't have any roll-away beds because they were sold out for the weekend (many hotels were... More

Rooms were nice, modern, and clean. Rooftop pool was clean, a little small, but fun none the less. Check in was smooth, although our room wasn't ready, they let us go up to the pool while we waited. Super central location, we were going to a concert at the Amphitheatre and it was like a 15$ cab ride. Will be... More

I've never written a hotel review quite as critical as this. I wish I could give 0 stars. Staying here felt like an experience in a post-apocalyptic hole. How can I begin to describe the nightmare of the Hyatt Regency Toronto? I arrived at 4:30, well past check-in time, to be told my room wasn't ready. I had a quick... More

First of all: There is NO Regency Club, which might come as a bad surprise for Hyatt fans. The hotel's interieur is worn out (to put it mildly) with a more than disappointing gym. Breakfast buffet at the café is mediocre and cannot compare with Hyatt standards that you would expect from Asian or European experiences. Location is good with... More

Visited Toronto for the 1st time and stayed here with a friend. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Toronto and you can easily walk to local attractions. The free breakfast as a Diamond member was good.

It's a nice hotel. We stayed here in one room: couple + 1 child. We had a king size bed and they brought in an extra bed. The room wasn't that big so with the extra bed it was really crowded. But still manageable. Very friendly staff. The rooftop pool is awesome too.

The Hyatt Regency is a clean, relaxing and extremely comfortable hotel. We stayed two nights and both slept extremely well in the comfy bed! It was so quiet, we felt like we were the only people on our floor. The rooftop pool is beautiful and a relaxing place to spend a few hours in the sun! The location of this... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
