We booked our stay with Hotwire and got a pretty affordable deal. It's location is ideally situated close to some very nice and trendy restaurants and is just walking distance from the CN Tower and the aquarium and many other interesting attractions. The staff was nice and responded very quickly to our request to get a crib to our room.... More

Using my Platinum status points and cash, I thought a one-night stay at this hotel (reasonably close to Union Station) was a good deal. Wrong! Our King size bed filled most of the small room which was tolerable - but the lack of adequate lighting for reading, dressing or performing any repacking was shocking. I called the desk asking for... I stayed in Toronto with a friend, and we chose the Hyatt Regency. It was one of the best choices we made during the trip! The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The room was beautiful, with comfortable beds and attentive service and cleaning. The restaurant was gorgeous, with delicious food and quick, friendly service. The pool, while perhaps... More

This is an average Hyatt Regency Hotel. It became special when we were upgraded to a corner suite. The bathroom was very tiny and so was the bedroom. We had a great view from the living room with corner windows. Breakfast was included. In my opinion, the restaurant is made solely for people at the hotel as it's below sidewalk... More

Very satisfied with my stay! Loved the outdoor pool and rooftop bar. The service was wonderful and room was clean and comfortable. I was glad to have on-site parking, as I had driven to Toronto from Buffalo. Great location.

Location of this hotel is great. On the busy and cool King street, within walking distance from CN tower or the art gallery. Staff was very good, especially the reception which was very helpful, covering other aspects. Room was pretty small and had better times. A bit less functional too. A lot of small drawers... Bathroom had a ventilation problem... More

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency was just what we were expecting. The staff were friendly and professional, our room was comfortable and clean. The downtown location was perfect, within a very short walk to Skydome, CN Tower and much more. I would recommend the Hyatt Regency and gladly stay there again.

I've stayed at a lot of Hyatt Regency hotels so I wasn't prepared for this location's weird choices for room layout. Positives: good wifi, friendly staff, and great location near bars and restaurant. The staff made great recommendations. Negatives: The rooms were newly renovated but in the most wildly inconvenient way possible. While they looked nice overall, the lack of... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
