Hmmm. this place seems very tired to me. It's overpriced and rundown. Especially the rooms. The lobby is nice, the staff courteous, and the room overlooking the baseball field pretty cool. The problem is that I was just there to sleep. The rooms was stark, very dated, and very boring. The bathroom was the same...bad showered, dated fixtures. They had... More

Great hotel and a really great staff, Katherine was extremely helpful. I was given an upgrade to a suite and actually had the choice of having a room that overlooks Blue Jay's field. Luckily, my team was playing the Blue Jays and I had the opportunity for a view room. However, I elected to take the other offered suite so... More

Saw 2 baseball games at Rogers Center and walked to the a Hockey Hall of Fame from this location. Also, took a sightseeing bus tour of Toronto with a stop very close to the hotel. The hotel has a casual bar and restaurant which overlook the field. Had a delicious breakfast here both days. Omelets were outstanding. The rooms were... More

I stayed at this hotel for an conference and found the rooms to be excellent! Very clean, roomy, quiet, great bed and affordable. When I was checking out, I accidentally left my bag in the conference room with over $1000 worth of items in it. After I realized it was gone, it was too late to go back and look... More

We rented a room for an evening but ended up checking in early and getting to see a Blue Jays game from our room. This was a first to us and we really enjoyed this extra feature one that you cannot get from any other hotel in Toronto. The room was very simple yet we asked to see some of... More

We had an opportunity to visit Toronto for 2 short days. We had tickets to a Blue Jays game on day 2 and selected the Renaissance for our entire stay. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk staff who advised us that we had been given a free upgrade to a room overlooking the stadium. What... More

The tub flooded while showering, poor drainage, Hot tub was out order...very disappointing. It's what I look forward to every hotel stay. The hallway had a very unplesant smell. The elevator layout was inconvenient, it was too far apart.

RenaissanceTO, Director of Room Operations at Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel, responded to this review

Dear Brumar R, We appreciate your feedback. Our layout is definitely unique, wrapped around the north side of Rogers Centre. That being said, we have many different room locations and layouts to accomodate special requests. I apologize that the hot tub was out of order during your visit. Unfortunately, we had an emergency repair to be completed and we were... More

The staff was very accommodating. Special thanks to Iryna for giving us a room with a stadium view! It was wonderful! It was picture perfect and a very different and authentic experience that one cannot get anywhere else. Small gestures by the staff made us feel so special on our anniversary weekend! We had an amazing evening and anticipate a... More

Our room looked into the Rogers Centre where we watched two baseball matches staring the Toronto Blue Jays. Fabulous experience! Our windows opened into the stadium for the full effect or they could be closed and a privacy curtain pulled across. The noise from the stadium wasn't at all bothersome with the windows and curtains closed. But maybe a concert... More

This is a luxurious hotel inside the Roger's Center, just next to CN Tower Toronto. Some of the hotel room's windows are facing directly to the football stadium, so you can watch the football game from inside the hotel room, it is really a brilliant idea... The room is very clean and big, and the twin beds are also nice... More
