From early check in to watching our bags after check out, service with a smile. The room was huge, very clean and beds very comfortable. When I approached housekeeping for a couple of extra towels, Eden was so sweet and made sure that each person in our group had a set of towels as well as extra shampoo. She knew... More

Upon arrival, it looks like you're driving on a sidewalk, into a stadium, but that is close to what is actually happening. We chose valet for the convenience so we could get started in Toronto on a Saturday night. So why not five stars? My wife and my daughter were with me, so we had a room that would accommodate... The room was spacious, everything was clean, and the staff was friendly. It is in a convenient location. Unfortunately, our room was overlooking the railway tracks. After getting back to the room late after a concert, I did not appreciate the rumble of the trains starting at 6am on Sunday morning. It is unfortunate, as it ruined the stay for... More

Dear wloo11, Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you enjoy our location, that you find our guestrooms spacious, and that our team takes excellent care of you. As you have stayed on several occasions, you know that we have several different room layouts and locations. It sounds like this was an isolated incident. We would be pleased... More

I can't say enough about the fabulous experience we had at the Renaissance. From the front desk, to room service, maid service, and the atmosphere, everything was just perfect. I had planned a 60th birthday surprise for my husband and he is still choked up with excitement from the weekend. Watching the Blue Jay game from our room in luxury... More

My sister got married at a Jays game in a luxury box. This hotel was extremely convenient! It was nice to be touring around the city to always know where our hotel was based on the CN tower. The customer service was great... staffs #1 concern was our satisfaction. If you have mobility issues request a room close to the... More

A tired 1980s hotel in need of refurbishment. Comfortable rooms but expensive like other city hotels in Canada. Unexpected bonus was it forms part of the local Bluejays baseball home stadium & a game was on. Restaurant & bar overlook the diamond. All the staff were friendly & ultra helpful - special thanks to Alex for super service in the... More

Dear Yellowbird172, I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed our location; attached to Rogers Centre and home of the Toronto Blue Jays. We are in the process of updating our look so I hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future. Thank you for your review. Andrea Copeland More

I stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. I was upgraded to a suite on the 2nd floor because of my gold status with Marriott. The room was very large, spacious, and well appointed. The bathroom is very large with a counter of two sinks, a shower, and a jaccuzi bathtub. The shower has terrific water pressure and... More

I am a little bit late writing this review. We had the pleasure of staying at our favourite hotel the Renaissance Rogers Centre for the Canada Day Holiday. We planned the holiday to watch the Blue Jays and to celebrate our birthdays. After a long 4 hour drive we were greeted by Jenn at the front desk and honestly, she... More

We wanted to stay at the Renaissance to be near the action. This is a great way to watch a ball game. We were pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful hotel. Rooms were spacious and Quite. The bed was very comfortable better than home. We loved the hotel, stadium, and the city of Toronto.

Fantastic hotel conveniently located downtown, close to local restaurants, etc. Best part of hotel service comes from bartender Craig. Service with a smile, funny, friendly, professional, personable! All bartenders and restaurant staff impressive! - Great service from front desk as well in accommodation of specific needs relative to a month long stay. Highly recommend.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
